Speaking of gastric perforation, a stomach disease, I believe everyone is familiar with it. Some people even think of severe abdominal pain when they hear the word gastric perforation. In fact, abdominal pain is only one of the symptoms of gastric perforation. In addition, there are many other symptoms of gastric perforation. Let us take a closer look at them! 1. Abdominal pain Sudden onset of severe abdominal pain, initially starting in the upper abdomen or at the site of perforation, often with a knife-like or burning pain that is generally continuous but may also have paroxysmal exacerbations. The pain quickly spreads throughout the abdomen and may spread to the shoulders as a tingling or sore feeling. 2. Shock symptoms The disease progresses to bacterial peritonitis and intestinal paralysis, and the patient may experience toxic shock. 3. Nausea and vomiting Some patients may experience nausea and vomiting, but the symptoms are not severe. Vomiting is aggravated by intestinal paralysis, and there are also symptoms such as abdominal distension and constipation. 4. Other symptoms Fever and rapid pulse, but usually appear several hours after the piercing. Symptoms ①Acute perforation Initially it was a chemical peritonitis caused by gastric and duodenal contents. The extent and degree of inflammation depends on the size of the perforation. The amount and nature of the fluid injected into the peritoneal cavity, as well as the patient's health status and responsiveness. Generally, it turns into bacterial peritonitis after 8 to 12 hours. If the contents injected into the abdominal cavity are completely sterile, the culture of the peritoneal exudate may still be negative even after 24 hours. Once peritonitis occurs, whether chemical or bacterial, it is bound to cause an exudative reaction. The more content injected into the abdominal cavity, the stronger the irritation and the longer the time, the more exudate will be in the abdominal cavity, the more obvious the inflammation will be, and the more serious the complicated intestinal paralysis will be. ② Subacute perforation Because the hole is small or blocked, the amount of abdominal leakage is small, so the inflammatory lesions are limited to the right upper abdomen. ③Chronic perforation In fact, the surrounding area has healed before it breaks. If it penetrates the pancreas, it may cause a local pancreatic inflammatory reaction; if it penetrates the lesser omentum cavity, due to the small amount of leakage, it will form a lesser omentum cavity abscess after being wrapped by the omentum; if it heals with the visceral surface of the gallbladder or liver, it may form a gastro-gallbladder fistula or duodenal-gallbladder fistula, or a subhepatic abscess, while there will be no inflammatory reaction in other parts. Having a healthy stomach is equivalent to having a healthy body. Patients with gastric perforation should not underestimate their disease, as it often poses a threat to the patient's health. After reading the above article, I hope that if you find yourself with such symptoms, you will be vigilant and seek medical advice in time to prevent this small gastric perforation from causing major health problems. |
