AIDS is still a terrible disease at present. Once infected with AIDS, the patient's life is threatened. Understanding the symptoms of the AIDS window period and taking measures to intervene and treat the disease as early as possible can minimize its harmfulness. 1. The HIV infection window period is generally 2 to 6 weeks, and no longer than three months. During this period, the amount of HIV in the infected person's body will reach a peak, becoming extremely contagious, and the acute infection period also occurs during this period. During this period, some infected people will experience symptoms such as fever, sore throat, night sweats, joint pain, swollen lymph nodes, rash, and hepatosplenomegaly. These symptoms last for about 2-4 weeks before entering a symptom-free period. But not all people will have a clear acute infection period, the incidence rate is about 50-75%. Since there are no typical predictive symptoms of HIV infection, the presence of any symptoms cannot be considered AIDS. 2. The correct way to determine whether you are infected with HIV is to go to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in various counties and cities for HIV antibody testing 6 weeks after high-risk behavior or blood transfusion. If the first test is negative, the doctor will usually recommend that you test again two or three months later to make sure it is indeed negative. If the test result is negative after three months, you can basically rest assured that you are not infected. 3. Although we humans have not yet found a way to cure AIDS, we can still prevent it. 4. Keeping oneself clean and observing the ethical behavior of couples are the fundamental ways to prevent AIDS. Practice safe sexual intercourse and use condoms correctly every time you have sexual intercourse. Timely and standardized treatment of disease X can greatly reduce the possibility of HIV infection. Avoid unnecessary blood transfusions and injections, and ensure that instruments are strictly sterilized when performing actions that penetrate the skin. 5. Treatment of AIDS: No special medication is required for acute HIV infection and HIV without clinical symptoms. Just pay attention to rest, improve nutrition and combine work and rest, but avoid infecting others. For AIDS patients, the treatment mainly targets etiology and various complications, and also includes support, immunomodulation and psychotherapy. |
