What are the symptoms of heart paralysis and how to prevent it

The heart is the core organ in the human body, and problems with the heart can have fatal effects on human health. There are some acute symptoms among various heart diseases, and once they occur, the mortality rate is extremely high. Cardiac paralysis is an extremely dangerous heart disease, so in daily life, we should pay more attention to the symptoms of cardiac paralysis and do all kinds of preventive work to prevent ourselves from sudden death due to cardiac paralysis.

What are the symptoms of heart paralysis?

1. Chest pain

This is the most common sign of heart disease, often located behind the sternum. It is a tight, squeezing pain that often radiates to the left shoulder, left arm, and even to the left ring finger, and lasts for a short time. Some people have atypical symptoms. Sometimes they just feel short of breath or uncomfortable in the heart. Some have upper abdominal pain, shoulder pain, and lower toothache, which should be taken seriously.

2. Panic and shortness of breath

If you do general housework or climb three floors continuously, you will feel your heartbeat obviously quicken, and have symptoms such as shortness of breath and chest tightness, which are often manifestations of weakened heart reserve function.

3. Cannot lie flat

It is a typical manifestation of heart disease. In the early stage, you may have to raise the pillow to sleep, otherwise you will feel chest tightness. In the later stage, you often cannot lie flat, or wake up at night and have to sit up to relieve the pain.

4. Partial purple

Purple color of the lips, nose tip, earlobes, fingertips and other parts is a characteristic of some heart diseases, such as cor pulmonale and cyanotic congenital heart disease. It is a manifestation of poor blood flow and indicates decreased heart function.

5. Distended jugular veins

The jugular veins on both sides swell like earthworms, indicating that the superior vena cava reflux is not smooth. If the jugular veins are more distended when pressing the liver, this is called hepatojugular reflux sign, which indicates that the heart disease is serious.

How does heart paralysis occur?

When an electric current of 90-100 mA passes through the human body for more than 3 seconds, heart paralysis and ventricular fibrillation will occur. In addition, excessive injection of certain high-solubility solutions (potassium chloride) can also lead to hyperkalemia, which can slow down the heart rate and gradually cause cardiac arrest, leading to death.

3. Prevention of Cardiac Paralysis

1. Regular review

Test at least once every six months. If you experience severe chest pain, chest tightness, or a sudden drop in blood pressure that lasts for a long time, or if you have a pale complexion or cold sweats, you should seek medical attention immediately.

2. Do not drink alcohol, strong tea or coffee

Take precautions in all aspects including food, clothing, housing and transportation. Adhere to a high-protein, high-vitamin, low-fat and low-salt diet, avoid drinking alcohol, strong tea, coffee, and smoking, pay attention to a regular life, regular daily routine, adequate sleep (more than 8 hours), and take a nap.

3. Talk about regulating emotions

Pay attention to mental health and regulate your emotions. Don't be angry or worried, and avoid being too happy or too sad.

4. Treat the primary disease

Continue to treat the primary disease seriously, that is, treat arteriosclerosis, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, etc.

5. Avoid cardiac stimulation

Pay attention to prevent and avoid factors that can induce heart paralysis. Such as: overwork, long-term high mental stress or bad mood, overeating, alcoholism, heavy smoking and cold, etc.
