Symptoms and treatment of gallbladder polyps

Symptoms and treatment of gallbladder polyps

The problem of gallbladder polyps seriously affects people's physical health. Many patients may not have obvious clinical symptoms in the early stage, but as the polyps grow larger, there is a possibility of malignant transformation, so attention should be paid to reasonable treatment and conditioning.

1. Symptoms and Signs

1. The vast majority of CPs patients have no clinical symptoms and their gallbladder function is good. Such patients should be followed up with BUS regularly (3 to 6 months). Surgery is only considered if obvious symptoms occur or PLG enlarges rapidly. If the gallbladder function is good at that time, percutaneous cholecystoscopic polypectomy can be performed. Such polyps are often less than 10 mm (82%) and are mostly multiple (75%). It looks like a mulberry, with a thread-thin stem, brittle and easy to fall off, making it easy to pick. If the gallbladder is not functioning properly, laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) can be performed.

2. Benign non-cholesterol PLG accounts for 35%, including adenoma and adenomyoma, inflammatory polyps, adenomatous hyperplasia and rare mesenchymal tumors. Although there are no reports of malignant transformation of inflammatory polyps, they are accompanied by gallbladder inflammation and most of them have clinical symptoms. The other types have the potential to become malignant. Therefore, once detected, surgical resection should be performed promptly to clarify the nature of the pathology.

2. Diet therapy for gallbladder polyps
