Treatment and diet for hypertension, food therapy is so magical

The most common cause of high blood pressure is unhealthy diet, so if you want to treat this disease, you must start with diet. In terms of diet, fat intake should be strictly controlled. Secondly, protein intake should also be moderate. You should eat more foods containing potassium, calcium and low sodium.

1. First, control the energy intake, for example, eat less monosaccharides such as glucose, fructose and sucrose that can easily cause increased blood lipids, and eat some complex sugars such as starch, corn, etc.

2. Limit fat intake. Use vegetable oil when cooking and avoid animal oil. Eat more marine fish rich in unsaturated fatty acids, because unsaturated fatty acids can oxidize cholesterol, lower the cholesterol in the blood, and prolong platelet aggregation, thereby inhibiting thrombosis and preventing stroke. At the same time, the linoleic acid contained in marine fish can increase blood vessel elasticity and prevent blood vessel rupture.

3. Consume protein in moderation. The daily protein intake of hypertensive patients should be one gram per kilogram. As mentioned above, you can eat some fish protein to improve blood vessel elasticity, facilitate sodium excretion, and thus lower blood pressure.

4. Eat more foods rich in potassium and calcium but low in sodium, such as potatoes, eggplants, kelp, lettuce, and foods high in calcium: milk, yogurt, dried shrimps, etc.

5. Control salt intake: Daily salt intake should be reduced to less than 6 grams, which is the total amount of salt contained in all foods eaten in a day. Appropriately reducing salt intake can help lower blood pressure and reduce sodium and water retention in the body.

6. Eat more fresh vegetables and fruits, no less than 8 taels of vegetables and 2 to 4 taels of fruit every day.

7. Appropriately increase the intake of seafood: kelp, seaweed, seafood fish, etc.

In addition, patients with hypertension should be careful to avoid eating highly irritating foods, such as peppers, mustard, etc., and should drink less or no alcohol.
