The vulva is always broken like an ulcer

Ulcers and skin breakages appear on the vulva. This situation is very complicated because it often involves many diseases, such as skin diseases, sexually transmitted diseases, etc. These conditions need to be examined to know. If you do not examine, it is difficult to identify some factors of vulvar skin breakage. Therefore, in life, you need to choose appropriate methods of examination and treatment according to the actual situation, so as not to burden your body due to worsening of the disease.

1. Sexually transmitted diseases Many sexually transmitted diseases will cause vulvar ulcers during the course of their disease, which is also the most common cause of vulvar ulcers.

1. Syphilis mainly occurs in stage I syphilis, which is called chancre. The lesions are common in the genital area, but can also occur in the lips, pharynx, tongue and breasts. Most of the ulcers are painless, with a diameter of 1-2 cm. The base is cartilaginous to the touch, and the surface of the ulcer is clean with a small amount of exudate. There are usually one ulcer, but there may be 2-3 ulcers. The ulcers may disappear naturally within 3-8 weeks without treatment, and leave no trace or only mild atrophy and pigmentation after healing.

2. Genital herpes: Multiple papules, blisters or pustules first appear in the genital area, and then develop into erosions and ulcers, with itching and pain in the lesions; the ulcers generally subside in about 3-4 weeks, and new lesions may occur or recur at the original site after healing.

3. Lymphogranuloma venereum The primary lesions are small blisters or papules of 5-6 mm, with mild subjective symptoms. Ulcers may form and they are more common in the vulva. The lesions are usually single, sometimes multiple, with no obvious subjective symptoms. They heal on their own after a few days without leaving scars.

4. Inguinal granuloma: Skin lesions usually occur in the vulva. The initial lesions are hard subcutaneous nodules, which then form clearly defined hyperplastic granulomatous ulcers with a foul odor, rolled and raised edges, beef red centers, easy bleeding when touched, painless, pus on the surface of the ulcers, and many small satellite ulcers may occur around them.

2. Skin diseases The following skin diseases may also cause vulvar ulcers.

Fixed drug eruption: The skin lesions may be painful erythema, blisters, erosions or ulcers, which are often solitary but may also be multiple; there is a clear history of medication use, and the lesions occur in the same area after each medication, and are more common at the junction of the skin and mucous membranes such as the lips, glans penis, and anus. Similar lesions may also occur in other parts of the body.

Behcet's syndrome is also called oculo-oral-genital syndrome. In addition to oral ulcers, eye damage, skin symptoms, joint symptoms, vasculitis and nervous system lesions, vulvar ulcers are also one of the characteristics of this disease. Vulvar ulcers are painful in the early stages and heal in 1-3 weeks, but may leave scars. The disease is prone to recurrence and can last for years or even decades.

Acute vulvar ulcers are more common in young women. The onset is sudden, starting with vulvar ulcers, which are more common on the inner side of the labia majora and minora and the vestibule mucosa. The ulcers range in size from a grain of rice to 1-2 cm in diameter. In severe cases, the ulcers are large in area, deep in lesions, covered with necrotic membrane-like tissue, and cause obvious local pain. The course of the disease is generally 3-4 weeks, and scars are left after healing.

Acute eczema can occur in the scrotum, vulva, anus and other parts of the body. The rash is composed of numerous dense, millet-sized papules, papules or small blisters. The base is flushed and there is severe itching. Small erosions or ulcers are easily formed due to scratches and other factors. If not treated in time, it can easily develop into subacute, chronic eczema or secondary infection.
