This is what your nails look like if your liver blood is insufficient! There are four kinds of food that can replenish liver blood

What we often talk about nourishing the liver is actually nourishing the liver yin and liver blood. Only by maintaining sufficient liver blood can the liver perform its physiological functions normally. If the liver blood is insufficient, people will experience symptoms such as dry eyes, insomnia, dizziness, and poor complexion. In fact, our nails can reflect the health of the liver. Do you know how to see it?

Judging the Liver Blood from the Fingernails

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that "nails are the extension of tendons." "Nail" refers to fingernails and toenails, which are the parts of tendons inside the body extending outside the body.

The liver controls the tendons and can store blood, so the liver has a close relationship with the tendons and nails. The thickness, toughness, and color of the nails can reveal the true state of the liver blood in the body.

The nails of a healthy person, due to adequate blood supply, should be flesh-pink in color, with a round and smooth surface, moderate thickness, a smooth and bright shape, no vertical or horizontal grooves, and no spots. If there are changes in the liver blood, the nails can provide us with a reference.

1. Look at the texture

If there are obvious vertical lines on the nails, and they appear within a short period of time and disappear quickly, it is mostly due to neurasthenia, excessive fatigue, and low immunity; if the vertical lines persist, chronic diseases of the organs in the body should be suspected.

If there are vertical black lines, it means that the liver and kidney functions are relatively weak.

The appearance of transverse grooves is usually caused by malnutrition or digestive system diseases. The deeper the horizontal lines, the more serious the disease.

2. Look at the color

If the nails are pale, it often indicates insufficient Qi and blood. You can eat more foods that replenish Qi and blood, such as red dates and black sesame seeds.

If the nails are dark yellow, it may be a precursor to liver and gallbladder disease or other chronic diseases, and further examination is needed to confirm the diagnosis;

Blue and purple nails indicate cold syndrome, blood stasis, or lack of oxygen.

3. Look at the spots

White spots on the nails are mostly caused by liver damage in adults, especially hepatitis B patients; children are suffering from indigestion or calcium deficiency, so they should pay attention to a balanced diet.

Red spots under the nails indicate capillary bleeding;

The appearance of black spots indicates that there is a disorder in blood circulation, which may be caused by a tumor or gangrene. Further examination is recommended.
