What causes heart pain when inhaling?

There is pain in the heart when taking a deep breath. In fact, many people will experience this phenomenon in life, so it is necessary to understand the types and causes of symptoms. Common patients with fatigue or myocarditis, pericarditis and arrhythmia will experience pain.

1. Fatigue: It is a common symptom of various heart diseases. When heart disease impairs blood circulation, metabolic waste (mainly lactic acid) accumulates in tissues, stimulating nerve endings and causing fatigue. Fatigue can be mild or severe. Mild fatigue may not be a concern, but severe fatigue may interfere with work. But heart disease fatigue is not specific and is difficult to distinguish from fatigue caused by other diseases.

2. Pain: Patients with myocarditis, pericarditis, and arrhythmia may feel chest pain. The most common is angina pectoris. Angina pectoris often occurs suddenly due to fatigue, excitement, or a full meal. The pain is mostly located in the center of the chest, with a feeling of oppression, burning or squeezing, or even a feeling of suffocation and impending death. Some may radiate to the left shoulder, back, and inner side of the left upper arm. The pain lasts for a short time, disappearing in 3-5 minutes and never exceeding 20 minutes.

3. Shortness of breath: Shortness of breath is a common symptom of heart disease. The most notable features are shortness of breath on exertion and paroxysmal dyspnea at night. Exert shortness of breath is shortness of breath associated with activity. Heart patients often say that they feel anxious and short of breath when climbing to the second floor and cannot stand it. Paroxysmal nocturnal dyspnea means that they cannot sleep properly at night and sometimes wake up from their dreams due to the suffocation. They can only feel the dyspnea after sitting up and gasping for a while. Cyanosis: The skin, mucous membranes, area around the earlobes, lips, nose, and fingertips turn purple.

4. Edema: Edema of the whole body or lower limbs, sometimes with accumulation of water in the chest or abdominal cavity. Palpitations: Patients often feel palpitations, especially after activities. However, palpitations may also occur when there are other diseases or when there is no disease, so palpitations are of little significance in diagnosing heart disease. I hope the OP doesn’t worry, otherwise it would be bad if he were to be paranoid.
