What to do if you have sensitive teeth?

As the saying goes, toothache is not a disease, but it can be fatal when it hurts, so toothache is still very serious. The so-called tooth sensitivity is actually what we usually call inverted teeth. When the teeth have symptoms of allergy, you can use some anti-allergic toothpaste, or massage the correct acupoints, which can have a certain effect.

Use desensitizing toothpaste

There are many desensitizing toothpastes on the market. Some of them, such as those containing fluoride, potassium nitrate or Chinese herbs, will have a certain anti-sensitivity effect if used regularly.

Garlic for Tooth Sensitivity

Chew garlic with your sensitive teeth, or cut the garlic cloves and repeatedly apply the cut surface to the affected teeth; you can also squeeze the garlic juice and apply the juice with a cotton swab to the teeth. Because garlic contains allicin, it can stay in the dentinal tubules, forming a protective film to isolate them from external stimuli. The allicin can reduce the sensitivity of the nerves and achieve the effect of desensitization and analgesia.

Tea for Tooth Sensitivity

Take a small amount of tea leaves, soak them in clean water to make them swell, and chew the softened tea leaves with the affected teeth. Chew repeatedly at any time. Because the tannic acid in tea has an astringent effect, it can seal the dentinal tubules and improve the discomfort caused by sensitive teeth.

Using Walnuts to Treat Tooth Sensitivity

Walnut kernels also contain tannic acid, which can seal dentinal tubules. Generally, 4-5 walnuts are used, and the walnut kernels are peeled after shelling. Chewing the walnut kernels repeatedly with the affected teeth can relieve the pain and discomfort of tooth allergy.

Acupressure for Tooth Sensitivity

Patients with tooth allergy pain can find the tender points on the ears and press them; or alternately squeeze and massage the Hegu acupoint with the fingers and thumb; they can also massage the Cheek Cartilage acupoint, Ren Zhong acupoint, Sibai acupoint, Yingxiang acupoint, Xiaguan acupoint and Zusanli acupoint, etc. It is best to feel a sore, swollen and hot sensation when pressing each acupoint. You can press for 2-3 minutes each time to relieve toothache.
