1. Caused by gingivitis

Gingivitis can cause local inflammatory edema, whitening, and can also cause hardening. First of all, you should drink more water, eat more fruits and vegetables, and avoid spicy and irritating foods. In addition, you can take oral anti-inflammatory drugs to help promote the subsidence of inflammation. You can also apply local hot compresses.

2. Caused by periodontitis

Periodontal abscess, accompanied by symptoms include loose teeth, red and swollen gums, periodontal pocket formation, exposed tooth roots, etc.; for periodontitis, it is recommended to go to the oral periodontology department for systematic periodontal treatment, and for apical periodontitis, root canal treatment is required. After completing the root canal treatment, the gingival fistula, which is what you call the abscess, will also heal.

3. Apical periodontitis caused by untimely treatment of dental caries

Gingival abscesses are drainage outlets for apical periodontitis. If immunity is reduced, inflammation will recur. If the root apex of the tooth is festering and abscesses form on the gums, you will need to go to the dental department for root canal drainage of the tooth and take anti-inflammatory drugs.

4. Pure gingival hyperplasia

Caused by irritation and pressure from dental plaque. It is best to go to the hospital's dental department for a clear examination and take appropriate treatment measures such as root canal treatment and gingival hyperplasia removal.
