How to relieve gout symptoms?

Gout is a very serious disease. It is a joint disease caused by excessive uric acid in the body, which causes unbearable pain to patients. The main patients of gout are middle-aged and elderly people. In recent years, as people's physical fitness has declined faster, gout has gradually become younger people. The painful symptoms caused by gout are almost impossible to eliminate. Let’s take a look at how to alleviate gout symptoms.

Gout is mainly caused by a disorder in the metabolism of purine substances in the human body, which leads to a sharp increase in the synthesis of uric acid in the human body or untimely excretion, resulting in excessive blood uric acid concentration and gradually causing gout.

1. Since the swollen area is hot and painful, you can apply ice to the painful area to relieve the pain.

2. Avoid pressing the affected limb: Because sheets or bedding can cause joint pain as soon as they touch the affected area, you can put the gout-affected foot in a basket or box when resting in bed.

3. The affected part is too high. During the acute attack, the affected part should be kept high and allowed to rest. Do not exercise. Most patients at this stage cannot even bear the weight of a bed sheet, and the slightest movement or touch will cause extreme pain. You can make a protective frame so that the sheets and blankets do not press on the painful area.

4: Before resting, soak your feet in hot water, which can not only activate blood circulation and relieve pain, but also melt uric acid crystals and promote excretion from the body.

5. During the attack period, if you can’t bear it, you can use drugs to relieve pain, but you can’t take it for a long time, as it will cause great invisible harm to the human body. Need to receive regular treatment.

Note:

Gout patients should eat less foods containing high purine. Purine is a component in the cell nucleus. Any food that contains cells contains purine, and animal foods contain more purine. Avoid or abstain from eating high-purine foods such as animal offal, shrimp and crabs, thick broth, edible fungi, seaweed, anchovies, sardines, clams, beans and beer. Currently, gout treatment is mainly based on clinical symptoms and targeted medication, mainly taking colchicine plus analgesics during the attack period.
