How to take care of joint pain?

Many elderly people experience pain in their joints, and most of the time it is caused by arthritis. 2) Inflammatory pain: Use effective antibiotics to control infection, and if there is an abscess, make an incision, drain the pus and flush it promptly.

3) Acute ischemic pain: Immediately eliminate the cause of ischemia, such as removing all external fixators and tight dressings, relieving arterial spasm, and improving tissue ischemia.

4) Pain caused by malignant tumors: surgical removal of the tumor, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy.

5) Neuropathic pain: Surgery, traction or massage are performed according to different causes, supplemented by the use of anti-inflammatory drugs and physical therapy to eliminate local tissue inflammation and edema and relieve nerve compression.

3. Symptomatic treatment and nursing

1) Drug analgesia

Preventive and regular medication under the guidance of a clinician can effectively relieve pain. Choose an appropriate route of administration, oral, intramuscular, etc. Provides anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, as well as muscle relaxation.

2) Traditional Chinese medicine analgesia

Physical therapy: cold therapy, heat therapy, ice compress, hot spring bath, microwave, infrared, etc.

Acupuncture therapy: Traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture. It can relax and relieve spasms.

4. Surgical treatment

Neurosurgery pain relief: implanted drug delivery pump, neurectomy, nerve stimulation, etc.

5. Functional Exercise

Appropriate exercise should be performed under the guidance of a doctor. Such as Tai Chi, swimming, cycling, etc. However, different causes of the disease require different exercise training methods. You need to consult a clinician and avoid being blind to avoid aggravating the injury.
