Is there a good treatment for hypoglycemia?

Blood sugar is the abbreviation of the sugar content level in the blood. Blood has many functions, the most important of which is to transport various nutrients to the body and ensure the body's needs. Blood sugar is the most important function among them. The level of blood sugar can reflect the real-time health status. For example, too high or too low blood sugar is one of the manifestations of diabetes. Among them, diabetics are prone to hypoglycemia, which can endanger their lives if not treated in time. Therefore, when hypoglycemia is detected, it must be dealt with in a timely manner. Let’s take a look at whether there is any treatment for hypoglycemia? What is the better solution?

1. Once the above situation is found, the correct treatment method is: if conditions permit, blood sugar levels should be measured in time to confirm hypoglycemia; if it is only mild hypoglycemia and the patient is conscious, he can eat a few candies, a few biscuits, or drink half a cup of sugar water, which can quickly correct hypoglycemia. Generally, the symptoms of hypoglycemia will disappear after more than ten minutes; after eating the above foods, you can eat some rice, steamed bread, dried tofu and other foods to prevent the recurrence of hypoglycemia;

2. If the above methods are still ineffective or the patient is unconscious, he/she should be sent to the hospital for emergency treatment immediately and the patient's usual hypoglycemic drugs should be brought along so that the doctor can understand the condition.

3. Do not feed food to patients with severe hypoglycemia and send them to the hospital immediately. After being sent to the hospital, blood sugar is measured immediately and 20 mg of 50% glucose is injected intravenously. After the symptoms are relieved and the patient is conscious, glucose can be dripped intravenously to prevent the recurrence of hypoglycemia. Especially for some patients with hypoglycemia caused by oral hypoglycemic drugs, they may still fall into a coma again after waking up after treatment and need to be closely observed for four or five days.

4. It is best for patients with hypoglycemia to eat small meals frequently, about six to eight meals a day. Eating a small snack or refreshment before bed can also help. And the food you eat should be comprehensive, don't just eat one kind of food for a long time.
