Why do I have frequent urination and inability to urinate completely before going to bed?

Frequent urination and urgency are relatively common phenomena. Many people usually have this symptom, but most people do not pay attention to it. Some people experience frequent urination and urgency before going to bed, which has a great impact on people's lives. If it often happens at night, it will affect people's sleep. There are many reasons for this symptom. When treating, it is necessary to find out the cause and then treat it accordingly.

Why do I have frequent urination before going to bed and cannot urinate completely?

First, kidney deficiency. Traditional Chinese medicine says that the kidneys control water. Once the kidneys become weak, frequent urination will occur. There are also some other kidney diseases, such as nephritis, which can also cause frequent urination.

Second, diabetes. The typical symptoms of diabetic patients are three mores and one less, among which the three mores include more urination, that is, frequent urination.

Third, inflammation. Some inflammations and infections can also cause frequent urination and a smaller amount of urine each time. Common diseases include prostatitis, cystitis, urinary tract infection, and vaginitis, which are often accompanied by symptoms of urgency and pain when urinating.

Fourth, neurogenic urinary frequency. Some people may have experienced that when encountering certain events, such as exams, interviews, etc., they will feel nervous, and the most obvious manifestation of this emotion is frequent urination. Or some people may also experience this phenomenon before going to bed and must urinate before falling asleep. This type of frequent urination usually occurs during the day. After falling asleep at night and relaxing, frequent urination will basically no longer occur.

When frequent urination and urgency occur for a long time, it is best to go to the hospital in time to check the cause and treat the symptoms. Of course, some minor conditions can be relieved slowly on their own. You don't need injections or medicine. First, drink water normally, about 2000 ml per day. You should drink water in small sips, less than 200 ml each time. If you drink more than 200 ml, it will stimulate the bladder and produce the urge to urinate, resulting in frequent urination. It is best not to drink a lot of water before going to bed. Secondly, develop good health habits and urinate at fixed times every day. At the beginning, the intervals can be shorter, and then the time can be gradually extended. When you feel the urge to urinate, take deep breaths or divert your attention to suppress the urge. It is best to control it to once every 3 to 4 hours.

Inability to urinate completely before bedtime refers to the feeling of a full bladder and an urgent need to urinate, which cannot be relieved after urinating, accompanied by symptoms of frequent urination, urgent urination, painful urination, and white discharge from the urethra. Inability to urinate completely is a typical symptom of urinary tract infection and one of the main urination symptoms of prostatitis.

The section from the renal pelvis to the external urethra is called the urinary tract. Any bacterial infection in any part of the urinary tract is called a urinary tract infection. Urinary tract infections include cystitis and pyelonephritis, which can cause urinary incontinence. This condition is called "incomplete urination" in medicine, and quantitative indicators are given to diagnose this disease: urination of 1000-2000ml per day, 4-6 times during the day, and 0-2 times at night. Any flow beyond this range can be confirmed as incomplete urination.

As urine volume increases, the frequency of urination will also increase accordingly. Under physiological conditions, such as drinking large amounts of water, eating watermelon, and drinking beer, due to the increase in water intake, the urine volume increases through the regulation and filtration of the kidneys, and the frequency of urination also increases, resulting in incomplete urination. Under pathological conditions, such as some patients with diabetes and diabetes insipidus, they drink a lot of water, urinate a lot, and urinate frequently. But there was no discomfort in urination.
