How to treat gastrointestinal metaplasia

How to treat gastrointestinal metaplasia

Gastrointestinal metaplasia, also known as intestinal metaplasia of the gastric mucosa in clinical practice, is a relatively common type of stomach disease. It has a great impact on human health. If left untreated, it is likely to lead to cancer. This is closely related to the type and severity of the disease. There are many ways to treat gastrointestinal indigestion, and they must also be coordinated with daily conditioning. How should gastrointestinal metaplasia be treated?

1. Gastrointestinalization

Gastrointestinal metaplasia refers to the replacement of gastric mucosal epithelial cells by intestinal epithelial cells. Gastrointestinal metaplasia can be divided into complete and incomplete types, small intestine type and large intestine type. Most scholars believe that the colon type is prone to cancer, especially the colon type and incomplete differentiation is the most dangerous. Dysplasia and intestinal metaplasia are both precancerous lesions. The former is dangerous in nature, but easier to reverse than the latter. Intestinal metaplasia refers to the appearance of cells that should not be there in the stomach. This disease is difficult to treat, but the rate of canceration is lower than the former.

2. Gastrointestinal metastasis to cancer

Gastrointestinal metaplasia can be considered a precancerous lesion, that is, a pathological change that may turn into cancer, but will not necessarily become malignant. It is usually caused by HP infection and chronic gastritis. You should check the gastroscopy pathology. If there is HP infection, you should take anti-HP medicine to reverse some intestinal metaplasia. If the medicine is not effective, surgical treatment is required.

3. Treatment and conditioning

Gastrointestinal indigestion can be treated with traditional Chinese medicine. First, go to the hospital for an examination. After the diagnosis is confirmed, Chinese medicine conditioning can be carried out under the guidance of a doctor. Try not to eat irritating foods, such as hot peppers and acidic foods. Try to eat more foods that nourish the stomach and intestines, such as milk, dates, etc. Intestinal metaplasia of gastric mucosa lacks specific symptoms clinically, and the severity of the symptoms is often inconsistent with the degree of lesions seen by gastroscopy. Therefore, clinical diagnosis and judgment must be based on pathological diagnosis, and therefore great emphasis is placed on pathological diagnosis.
