Instructions for injection of Agkistrodon acutus hemocoagulase

Injectable lancehead viper hemocoagulase is generally used for intravenous injection, intramuscular injection, and can also be used for local injection. Regardless of the injection method used, the patient must consult the doctor based on his or her condition and use it according to the doctor's instructions. Patients should pay attention to any reactions that occur during medication, and should not overdose on injectable lancehead viper hemocoagulase. Excessive use of the drug will reduce its efficacy.

1. Usage and dosage of Agkistrodon acutus hemocoagulase for injection

It can be injected intravenously, intramuscularly, or topically.

Children: 0.3-0.5-1.0KU each time. Or follow doctor's advice.

Adults: 1.0-2.0 KU each time. In emergency, immediately inject 1.0 KU intravenously and 1.0 KU intramuscularly.

All kinds of surgical operations: 1.0 KU injected intramuscularly 1 hour before surgery, or 1.0 KU injected intravenously 15 minutes before surgery.

After surgery, inject 1.0 KU intramuscularly daily for three consecutive days, or as directed by your doctor.

During medication, the patient's bleeding and clotting time should be carefully observed.

Overdose should be avoided, otherwise the efficacy will decrease.

2. Adverse Reactions

The incidence of adverse reactions is extremely low, and allergic reactions are occasionally seen. If the above situation occurs, general anti-allergic treatment methods can be used, including giving antihistamines and/or corticosteroids and symptomatic treatment.

3. Taboo

Although there are no reports of thrombosis, for safety reasons, it is contraindicated for those with a history of thrombosis. It is contraindicated for those who are allergic to any ingredient in this product.

IV. Precautions

Bleeding from damaged large and medium arteries and large veins must first be treated with surgery; use with caution in bleeding caused by disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC); when the blood lacks platelets or certain coagulation factors, it should be used on the basis of supplementing platelets, coagulation factors or transfusing fresh blood.

If any adverse events and/or reactions occur during use of this product, please consult a physician.

Please inform your doctor if you are using other medicines at the same time.

Keep out of reach of children.

5. Use of the drug by pregnant and lactating women :

There are no studies on this during pregnancy, so it is generally not used except in emergency situations. It is not suitable for women who are less than three months pregnant.

6. Pharmacology and Toxicology :

20 minutes after the injection of 1.0 KU of thrombin for injection, the bleeding time of a healthy adult will be shortened to 1/2 or 1/3. This hemostatic ability can be maintained for 2-3 days. This product has hemostatic effect and does not affect the thrombin content in the blood, so it will not cause thrombosis.

Its pharmacokinetics:

According to literature reports, subcutaneous and intramuscular use of thrombin injection begins to take effect after 15-25 minutes, and the efficacy reaches its peak within 40-45 minutes. Intravenous use: Onset of action after 5-10 minutes.
