Can Fengyoujing cure mosquito bites?

Can Fengyoujing cure mosquito bites?

Summer is a season when mosquitoes are rampant, and people whose blood is sweeter are particularly prone to mosquito bites. After a mosquito bite, small bumps of varying sizes will form in the affected area due to the allergic reaction of the skin. These small bumps will make people feel extremely itchy. In order to avoid scratching the skin due to mosquito bites, the itching should be controlled in time after being bitten by a mosquito. Can Fengyoujing treat the itching caused by mosquito bites?

Generally, there is soap or perfumed soap in the home. We can dip the soap or perfumed soap in water and apply it to the mosquito bite. Why can this soap or perfumed soap relieve pain and itching? It is because of the sodium salt of higher fatty acids in soap. The sodium salt of this fatty acid is alkaline (containing OH-) after hydrolysis. The aqueous solution of formic acid contains H+. Because the OH- in soapy water neutralizes with the H+ in formic acid to form H2O, it can eliminate pain and itching.

If the mosquito bite is very itchy, you can flick it with your fingers first, and then apply floral water or wind oil.

You can apply salt water or soak the itchy area, which can soften the bumps and effectively relieve itching.

To relieve itching, we can tear a small piece of aloe vera leaf and rub it on the itchy area, which can also relieve itching.

Can pregnant women use Fengyoujing?

Fengyoujing is mainly composed of mint, eucalyptus oil, clove powder, camphor and sesame oil, among which the camphor has certain toxic side effects. After camphor enters the human body, the glucose phosphate dehydrogenase in the normal human body will quickly combine with it, turning it into a non-toxic substance, and then excreted from the body with urine, so its toxic side effects will not appear in ordinary people.

The content of glucose phosphate dehydrogenase in the body of pregnant women is reduced. If too much wind oil is used, camphor enters the human body and can combine with a substance in the body (glucose phosphate dehydrogenase) to form a non-toxic substance and be excreted from the body. It passes through the placental barrier in the pregnant woman's body and affects the normal development of the fetus.

Scientists have shown that mosquitoes are selective in biting humans. A study shows that pregnant women are twice as likely to be bitten by mosquitoes as non-pregnant women. In addition, pregnant women have a higher body temperature and sweat a lot, which is a good breeding ground for skin bacteria. These two reasons make pregnant women more likely to be visited by mosquitoes than other women. Can pregnant women use Fengyoujing? The answer is no.
