Can Trichomonas be transmitted to the quilt?

Because female trichomoniasis is an infectious disease, many women are worried about being infected by this bacteria. In fact, not only women but also men can be infected with trichomoniasis. So can trichomoniasis be transmitted from women to men by men and women sharing a quilt? In fact, it won’t, because Trichomonas, as a young organism, does not have such strong vitality. Below is a detailed introduction on whether trichomoniasis can be transmitted to quilts.

The situation you describe generally won't happen, so don't be too nervous. Secondly, take protective measures.

Trichomonas is a very small protozoan with flagella that cannot be seen with the naked eye and must be observed under a microscope. It is usually transmitted through sexual intercourse. Trichomonas vaginalis is a sexually transmitted disease caused by Trichomonas (leucorrhea) and is most common in the age group of 35 to 50 years old.

The life cycle of Trichomonas is simple, with only trophozoites but no cyst stage. The trophozoites have strong vitality and can survive for 2 days at 3-5°C; 20-60 minutes at 46°C; about 10 hours in a semi-dry environment; and 45-120 minutes in ordinary soapy water. It will not grow in an environment with a Ph below 5 or above 7.5.

The transmission routes are: direct transmission: through sexual intercourse; indirect transmission: through public baths, bathtubs, baths, swimming pools, toilets, clothing, equipment and dressings, etc.

Recommendation: Timely prevention and treatment of asymptomatic carriers and patients to reduce and control the source of infection. Both spouses or sexual partners should be treated at the same time to achieve a complete cure. Commonly used oral drugs in clinical practice are metronidazole and metronidazole. For local treatment, you can use Diweijing or 1:5000 potassium permanganate solution to flush the vagina; metronidazole and mandelic acid suppositories can also be used, the latter is more effective and safe. Pay attention to personal hygiene and menstrual hygiene; do not share swimsuits and bathing utensils; it is recommended to use showers in public bathrooms; use public toilets with caution.

As long as you do a good job of post-prevention or take some health care measures, the trichomoniasis infection can be eliminated quickly. However, after suffering from Trichomonas vaginitis, it is best not to have sex. If you have sex during this period, it may cause cross infection.
