Why can't young people have their teeth extracted

In modern society, more and more people are beginning to pay attention to dental problems. After all, teeth are the gateway to a person's face, directly affecting a person's normal life and appearance. In addition, it is better to take good care of the teeth in advance to avoid being tortured by dental problems when you are old. In dentistry, tooth extraction is a very common thing, so can young people have their teeth extracted?

Tooth extraction is the most commonly used treatment technique in dentistry. Because tooth extraction can cause damage to local tissues, leading to bleeding, swelling, pain and other reactions, and can also cause fluctuations in blood pressure, body temperature and pulse, it must be treated with caution. Patients with cardiovascular disease and blood disease should pay special attention, otherwise it will bring serious consequences. Tooth loss can cause alveolar bone atrophy, displacement or elongation of adjacent and opposing teeth, and result in chewing disorders. Missing front teeth directly affects pronunciation and appearance. The premature loss of children's deciduous teeth can cause dental and jaw deformities. Therefore, the indications for tooth extraction must be strictly controlled, and extraction should only be considered when the teeth have adverse effects on health and cannot be treated and preserved by effective methods.

Nowadays, many people, whether children, young people or the elderly, have dental problems. Many friends, once they have toothache, the first thing they think of is to simply pull out the tooth so that they don’t have to worry about it. However, many dentists will recommend treatment instead of tooth extraction. Many people think that this is how dentists do it to make money. Is this really the case?

In fact, every tooth has its function. We only consider extracting it when the tooth is damaged to the point that only rotten roots are left. The more common ones include tooth decay and tooth cracking. In this case, if the dental nerve is damaged, all you need is root canal treatment, followed by a filling and then a patch. If you have toothache, you need to analyze the cause. Basically, 99% of toothaches can be relieved by root canal treatment.

So, under what circumstances do you need to extract a tooth?

Supernumerary teeth are extra teeth that have no function. In this case, it is recommended to extract them.

Severe periodontitis causes gum atrophy, alveolar bone atrophy, exposed tooth roots, and severe tooth loosening. These teeth can only be extracted.

Wisdom teeth that grow crookedly, have cavities, or are stretched sideways all need to be extracted.

Teeth that affect the appearance may also be considered for extraction. Such teeth bring inconvenience to oral hygiene and are prone to food impaction. Failure to clean them effectively will cause tooth decay, leading to a series of oral problems. Due to irritation, such teeth should be extracted early.

However, it is not recommended to have your teeth extracted if you:

1. In cases of systemic heart and mind diseases, such as hyperglycemia, diabetes, and hemophilia, tooth extraction is very dangerous, especially for elderly patients.

2. Women who are menstruating or pregnant cannot have their teeth extracted, as pregnant women are prone to miscarriage and cannot take medication. Compensatory bleeding is prone to occur during menstruation.
