What does the 2 plus signs in urine glucose mean?

During a routine urine test, if the glucose level is two plus signs, it means that the patient may have diabetes, or you may also need to consider whether it is caused by a urinary tract infection. However, do not blindly define it without a confirmed diagnosis, because sometimes eating a large amount of high-sugar food before the test may also have a certain impact on the test results.

1. Generally speaking, if there is a plus sign in urine sugar, it means you may have diabetes, and if there is a plus sign in white blood cells, it indicates the possibility of urinary tract infection. Most diabetic patients do not have the commonly known symptoms of increased drinking, eating and urinating, and many of them are detected during routine physical examinations. Of course, it is not ruled out that you ate a lot of high-sugar foods before the examination. Moreover, the diagnosis of diabetes requires blood sugar and even steamed bun meal testing to be confirmed. It is recommended to recheck urine routine, collect midstream urine during the examination, and avoid eating too much sweets. If necessary, see a doctor for internal medicine, complete a complete examination, and follow the doctor's instructions after a clear diagnosis.

2. Two plus signs in glucose refer to temporary high urine sugar, which may be related to the consumption of high-sugar foods in recent days. It is recommended that the most important thing is to maintain long-term stable blood sugar levels through diet control, regular testing, a good attitude, normal blood pressure, and insulin treatment.

3. Diabetes testing method:

1. Three days before the OGTT test, you should not control your diet, the carbohydrate content in your daily diet should not be less than 150 grams, and you should maintain normal activities.

2. Drugs that affect this test (drugs that cause blood sugar to increase or decrease) should be discontinued.

3. The patient should not eat for 10 to 14 hours before the test.

4. On the morning of the test, fasting venous blood is drawn and the patient is required to drink 300 ml of sugar water containing 75 g of glucose within 5 minutes. Venous blood is drawn 30 minutes, 1 hour, and 2 hours after drinking the sugar water, and urine is collected for qualitative test of urine sugar. During the entire test, you are not allowed to smoke, drink coffee, tea or eat, and you should sit quietly in a chair.
