How to wear myopia glasses correctly

How to wear myopia glasses correctly

There are more and more people with myopia, and more and more people wearing glasses. Although they are already nearsighted, many people are unwilling to let their myopia get higher and higher. To control the degree of eye disease, you must strictly control the time you use your eyes and pay attention to eye hygiene. In addition, the correct wearing of glasses will also affect the degree of the glasses. Next, I will introduce to you the correct way to wear glasses.

It is best to wear glasses for moderate myopia

Experts believe that people with moderate myopia or above are advised to wear glasses all the time. This is more convenient for life and will not cause problems caused by unclear vision. It can also prevent the worsening of myopia. So, how many degrees of myopia is considered moderate myopia? According to experts, moderate myopia or above refers to myopia above 300 degrees. If the myopia is above 300 degrees, it is best to wear glasses all the time.

Most people believe in the saying that "wearing glasses for a long time will cause the eye sockets to sink and the eyeballs to bulge, which looks very ugly." Experts say that wearing framed glasses for a long time will not cause bulging eyes. To put it another way, bulging eyes are not caused by wearing framed glasses for a long time, but by severe myopia.

For those with moderate myopia or below, you can wear it or not at will.

Experts believe that people with myopia below moderate, that is, below 300 degrees, do not need to wear glasses all the time. This is because, on the one hand, myopia below moderate will not cause trouble or crisis in life due to unclear vision. On the other hand, there is no danger of worsening myopia if not corrected with glasses for a long time, like moderate and high myopia. If the student's eyesight is relatively low, he or she can wear glasses during class and take them off after school. There is no need for parents to require their children to wear glasses all the time. Of course, if someone is willing to wear glasses all the time, there is no need to force them to take them off. Whether or not to wear glasses is entirely up to you.

Experts also remind people not to be careless just because their myopia is not high. You should know that if you do not develop good eye habits, often staring at books or computers for hours without relaxing your eyes and paying attention to eye cleaning and protection, your myopia will worsen. Therefore, we must pay attention to protecting our eyes!

Things to note when wearing glasses

1. You cannot wear other people's frame glasses casually. Everyone's glasses lens power, the distance between the optical centers of the two lenses, the length of the temples, and the height of the nose pads are different, so you cannot wear other people's glasses casually.

2. Do not twist the frame of glasses with force. When taking off or putting on glasses with one hand, the frame may be deformed due to uneven force. Therefore, you must use both hands when taking off or putting on glasses. You should also check the screws on the glasses frame regularly to see if they are loose or if the frame is deformed. If you find that the screws are loose, tighten them in time to prevent the lens from falling off and breaking.

3. The frame of the glasses should not be too loose or too tight. The distance between the two temples and the curvature of the temples should be appropriate. The glasses should not be worn too loose or too tight. The eyes must be facing the optical center of the lens, otherwise a prism effect will occur, causing symptoms such as distorted vision, dizziness, vertigo, sore eyes, fatigue, and even strabismus.

4. When the lens is stained with dust or dirt, dry wiping can easily scratch the lens. It is recommended to rinse with clean water, dry with a paper towel, and then wipe dry with a special glasses cloth. When the lens is very dirty, it is recommended to clean it with a low-concentration neutral detergent, then rinse it with clean water and wipe it dry.

5. Do not participate in strenuous exercise when wearing frame glasses, because strenuous exercise may break the glasses and cause eye damage.

6. Glasses must be put on and taken off with both hands. The convex side of the lens must be facing up when placed on the table. Do not place them near high-temperature objects such as heaters and stoves when not in use. Do not place them in a closed car in summer. Also, do not wear glasses to take a sauna, because the high temperature will deform the glasses and damage the optical function of the lenses.
