Which parts should be rubbed with warm water to cool down

When people have a fever, they must pay attention to cooling methods. Warm water can also cool down, but when using warm water to cool down, you must pay attention to the areas that are wiped. If you want to truly achieve the purpose of cooling down, you actually need to pay attention to many details. Not only the cooling method, but also the temperature of the water, especially for children. So which parts should be rubbed with warm water to cool down?

1. Soak the towel

Soak a towel in cold water, and wring it until no water drips out. Then you can apply it to your forehead and change the towel in time. Or put ice under your armpits but avoid direct contact. Apply it every 3 to 5 minutes, and the best time is 15 to 20 minutes. It is not recommended for people who are allergic to cold.

2. Location

Sponge bathing can reduce body temperature. The areas for sponge bathing include the upper limbs, back, and lower limbs. There are too many areas to list one by one. When rubbing the armpits, elbows, groin, pharyngeal fossa and other places with rich blood vessels, you need to use a little more force and take a longer time. Generally, sponge bathing lasts for 15-20 minutes. It is forbidden to rub the back of the vest, the front heart area, the abdomen, and the soles of the feet. It is not suitable for newborns and blood patients.

3. Scrub your neck

First, unbutton the baby's clothes slightly to expose the skin on the neck, and gently wet the baby's neck with a warm water towel. At the same time, wipe the area behind the baby's ears and the auricle. These areas have faster circulation and can help dissipate heat. Mainly use warm water to wipe the parts of the body where large blood vessels are densely concentrated. In addition, warm water wiping also has requirements for the water temperature, and it is best to use water temperature similar to the baby's body temperature.

4. Scrub your underarms

Lift the baby's arms to expose the skin under the armpits, dip it in warm water again, wring it dry and gently apply it to the armpits, then remove the towel after a while. The skin under the armpits is sensitive, so it is best to apply light application rather than rubbing vigorously, and be careful not to get your clothes wet.
