As we all know, pinworm disease is a disease that children are more likely to get, and almost every child has been dewormed. However, few people know that pinworms can also be transmitted to adults, so some adults cannot let their guard down. So what causes pinworms in adults? Most adults get pinworms because they do not wash their hands promptly or thoroughly after handling pinworms for children, which makes them more susceptible to pinworms. Steps/Methods: 01 Enterobiasis is caused by toxic substances produced by pinworms. Patients will feel itching around the anus, which is more severe at night, causing patients to be unable to sleep at night. If the itching is unbearable and you accidentally scratch it, it may cause the skin around the anus to fall off, become congested, and cause rashes and eczema. It brings great inconvenience to the patient's daily work. 02 The symptom of pinworm disease is that if the pinworms drill into the intestinal mucosa, the mechanical structure in the gastrointestinal tract will cause the patient to lose appetite, and show symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. It seriously affects the patient's normal life, so if you have pinworm disease, you should go to the hospital as soon as possible for effective treatment. 03 Because of the metabolic products excreted by the parasites in the body, some patients have trouble sleeping at night. Even if pinworms invade the appendix, it may develop into appendicitis or peritonitis. So seek medical treatment as soon as possible. Of course, there are some people who do not show any special symptoms after contracting pinworm disease. Treatment 1. Antiparasitic treatment: 1. The imidazole compounds are all effective. For example, a 400 mg dose of albendazole can cure almost 100% of patients, but enterobiasis is prone to self-reinfection, so the treatment should be repeated once 2-4 weeks after treatment. 2. Benzphenicol (trade name: Propidium) 5 mg per kilogram for children, total dose for adults not exceeding 250 mg, take at once before bedtime (tablets should not be crushed), to prevent recurrence, take another dose after an interval of 14 days, good efficacy, few side effects, occasional nausea and vomiting. 3. The adult dose of thioethylpyridine is 250 mg, and the child dose is 5 mg/kg, taken once on a half-empty stomach, which has a significant effect in expelling pinworms. 2. General treatment: Wash the skin around the anus before going to bed every night, and apply 10% zinc oxide ointment, 2% white mercuric ointment, 10% Hefeng ointment or pinworm ointment (containing 30% Stemona extract, 0.2% gentian violet, etc.) on the skin around the anus, which has insecticidal and antipruritic effects. |
