4. Add chili oil, salt, MSG, spices, etc. to the prepared noodle products (cooked products).

Prepare the following ingredients: bean curd, oil, chili powder, chili sauce, pepper, cinnamon, star anise, ginger, sugar, cooking wine, and soy sauce.

Production steps: 1. Marinate bean curd with salt and cooking wine for a while

2. Blanch the bean curd in boiling water, heat up a pan with oil, fry the bean curd until golden brown, and remove from the pan.

3. Fry the minced ginger in a pan first, then pour in the chili sauce, chili powder, pepper, cinnamon, star anise, and sugar in turn and stir-fry until fragrant, then add soy sauce and a small bowl of water and bring to a boil.

4. Add bean curd skin and simmer until it is well-flavored, then remove from heat. Add salt and cooking wine and marinate for a while.

5. Slice the finished product and it is ready to eat.

Security risks

1. Processing methods are mostly frying or oil immersion

When we buy a bag of spicy strips, we will find that they are greasy inside. This is because they are processed by soaking in oil or frying. Because it is paired with oil, it will enhance the taste of the spicy strips and make them taste delicious.

2. The quality of the oil used is not easy to monitor

The producers of spicy strips are generally small workshops. In such an environment, the quality of the oil used to produce food is definitely a cause for concern. Inferior expired oils or repeatedly used gutter oil are highly carcinogenic. Frequently eating spicy strips made with such oils will increase the risk of cancer.

3. The color of spicy strips is all dyed by pigments

It is difficult to make spicy strips attractive in color simply by using chili peppers, so we need the help of dyes in food additives, such as carmine. There are strict regulations on the amount of these food additives used, but small workshops are difficult to supervise.

4. Other factors such as unsanitary production environment

In addition, small packages of spicy strips are generally sold cheaply, mostly at 0.50 cents or 1 yuan. In order to ensure profits at all links, these low-cost snacks are difficult to meet national requirements in terms of production environment and worker requirements, and there are inevitably some safety hazards.

Therefore, although spicy strips are essentially made of soy products or flour, there are great safety risks in many links such as the processing process, and these safety risks far exceed their nutritional value itself. So we don’t recommend that children or adults buy spicy strips.
