1. Production capacity is greatly limited:

For example, in various biological fermentations (beer production, alcohol manufacturing, production of major antibiotics in medicine...), various fermentation tanks, reactors, cooking tanks and other equipment, in order to prevent the emergence of foam and overflow losses, the feed coefficient has to be greatly reduced, sometimes not reaching 30%.

2. Cause waste of raw materials and products:

During the dyeing, printing and water-based coating processes in the textile industry, the retention of bubbles causes marks and defects on the finished fabrics. In addition to causing harm to environmental hygiene and workers' health, the foam in the pulp slurry will also cause many holes in the finished paper, causing a serious decline in product quality.

5. Not conducive to accurate measurement:

In industrial processes, the presence of foam interferes with the accurate measurement of the liquid level meter, resulting in measurement errors. The presence of foam in the liquid causes large fluctuations in the liquid density, which can often cause the liquid level in the reactor absorption tower and distillation tower to be artificially high, causing the operation to lose balance and even accidents.

As the foam overflows, it will inevitably pollute the production environment and its surrounding environment, and may even cause major accidents. For example, a refinery in the United States suffered heavy losses due to a major fire caused by the overflow of residual oil foam. This not only caused waste, but also led to serious loss of life and property.
