​Instructions for use of Chuanhuning injection

Chuanhuning injection is a drug that can treat viral respiratory infections and viral pneumonia, and can be used through intravenous drip and intramuscular injection. During the use of Chuanhuning Injection, patients may experience symptoms such as anaphylactic shock, dyspnea, and liver damage. Therefore, before using Chuanhuning Injection, be sure to read the instructions for use of Chuanhuning Injection carefully to avoid causing harm to the patient.

1. Ingredients

Chemical name: 14-dehydroxy-11,12-didehydroandrographolide-3,19-disuccinic acid half ester monopotassium salt.

Molecular formula: C28H35KO10

Molecular weight: 570.68

Ingredients: The main ingredient is chuanhuning

This product contains excipient: sodium bicarbonate.

2. Indications

Used for viral pneumonia, viral upper respiratory tract infection, etc.

3. Usage and Dosage

Add appropriate amount of sodium chloride injection to dissolve before use. Intramuscular injection: 100 mg once, 1 to 2 times a day. Intravenous drip of 400-800 mg per day, diluted with sodium chloride injection and dripped twice, each time should not exceed 400 mg.

4. Adverse Reactions

After intravenous infusion, anaphylactic shock, thrombocytopenia, skin allergies (such as drug rash, etc.), pediatric diarrhea, liver damage, vascular irritation and pain, and gastrointestinal discomfort may occur. Difficulty breathing, chills, fever, etc.

5. Taboo

It is contraindicated for those who are allergic to this product.

6. Notes

1. In recent years, the allergic reactions to this product have been on the rise in clinical applications. If fever or shortness of breath occurs during use, the drug should be stopped immediately. If symptoms of anaphylactic shock appear, take appropriate first aid measures immediately.

2. Do not use the drug if its properties change.

3. Blood counts should be checked regularly during medication. If thrombocytopenia is found, the medication should be stopped promptly and appropriate treatment should be given.

7. Use of the drug by pregnant and lactating women

Use with caution in pregnant women.

8. Drug Interactions

This product should not be used in combination with acidic or alkaline drugs or drugs containing sodium bisulfite or sodium metabisulfite as antioxidants.

IX. Pharmacology and Toxicology

1. Pharmacology Preclinical pharmacology experiments show that:

(1) This product has a strong antipyretic effect on rabbits with fever caused by bacterial endotoxins, can promote the disappearance of fever, and the effect is rapid and can last for more than 4 hours;

(2) This product has a good anti-inflammatory effect, can counteract the increased permeability of capillary walls caused by xylene or histamine, and has a significant antagonistic effect on adrenaline-induced acute pulmonary edema;

(3) This product can shorten the sleep latency period of mice induced by sodium pentobarbital, prolong their sleep time, and enhance the subthreshold effect of sodium pentobarbital, causing mice to sleep. The experimental results suggest that this product has a certain sedative effect;

(4) This product can promote the adrenal cortex function of rats and increase the body's ability to respond to pathogen infection;

(5) Clinical etiological diagnosis experiments and tissue culture inactivation tests have shown that this product has a certain inactivation effect on influenza virus type AⅠ, type AⅢ, pneumonia adenovirus (Adv) type III, type IV, enterosyncytial virus and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). There are also reports that the antiviral effect of chuanhuning may be related to promoting the phagocytosis of neutrophils and macrophages and increasing the lysozyme content in the blood.
