Most children have had a cold about a week before they become ill. The synovium is the thin lining of the joint capsule. Under normal circumstances, the synovium can secrete a small amount of fluid, whose main function is to make the joint surface smoother during grinding, just like adding lubricating oil to a machine. When there is some irritant inside the joint, whether it is bacterial or external force, the synovium will first react with congestion and edema, and exude fluid, causing the joint capsule to swell and form synovitis.

What causes leg pain due to a cold? Children's hip synovitis is a simple pediatric synovitis and can be cured.
