People with Yin deficiency should usually eat some foods that nourish Yin fluid and are sweet, cool and moisturizing, such as glutinous rice, lotus root, black fungus, white fungus, sugarcane, pear, lily, yam, wolfberry, Ophiopogon japonicus, turtle, tortoise meat, sea cucumber, donkey-hide gelatin, etc. You can choose to use wolfberry, lily, white fungus, ophiopogon japonicus, and yam to cook lean pork, duck meat, or pig lung soup.

Avoid spicy, irritating, warm, fragrant, dry, fried, or stir-fried foods; eat less overly warm, hot, and dry foods to avoid damaging the body's yin fluid, such as chili peppers, garlic, leeks, peppercorns, cinnamon, dried ginger, cloves, lamb, dog meat, etc.
