Can people with scars use cupping?

People with scar-prone constitutions are difficult to recover from injuries or wounds on the skin. Cupping can evacuate the oxygen in the cup and absorb it on the skin without causing serious skin injuries. If the skin is particularly fragile or the cupping is particularly heavy, blood blisters will appear. After the skin is pricked, it is easy for people with scar-prone constitution to leave scars. Be sure to tell the staff when cupping.

Actually, it is possible, but people with scars should be cautious about the method of cupping. Currently, many cupping methods in life will cause small wounds on the skin, so it is not recommended to avoid the scars from getting bigger.

First, for people with a scar-prone constitution, the scars will continue to grow after the skin is traumatized. Some of them will grow or fuse into huge crab feet, eroding the surrounding normal skin. Without external intervention and treatment, the scars will almost never stop growing.

Second, for people with a scar-prone constitution, scars will generally show obvious proliferation no matter where they are injured.

Third, clinically, hyperplastic scars in people with scar-prone constitutions often manifest as a circle of obvious redness around the scars. This is a manifestation of an inflammatory response, indicating that the scar hyperplasia is in a very active state and the cells in the skin in this area are also abnormal.

Fourth, from the perspective of treatment prognosis, people with scar constitution are much more likely to experience hyperplasia and recurrence after receiving various regular and effective treatments than those without scar constitution.

Although the treatment of patients with scar constitution is troublesome for doctors, it does not mean that patients with scar constitution should give up treatment. The treatment of this type of patients advocates comprehensive treatment, especially focusing on the adjustment of constitution (including light diet, regular life, oral medication, etc.). As long as you have an accurate and objective psychological expectation and a life attitude of actively cooperating with treatment, there is still a good chance that the lesions will be improved or even cured.
