How to quickly ventilate a stuffy nose caused by rhinitis

When rhinitis occurs, adverse symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, and nasal congestion often occur. These symptoms can have a profound impact on the patient's life. In particular, nasal congestion is not conducive to the patient breathing fresh air from the outside, so when this happens, you should pay attention to drinking more water, pressing the tip of the nose, etc. to relieve the problem of nasal congestion. If the symptoms cannot be relieved by conventional methods, it is recommended to go to the hospital for specific examination.

1. Drink more hot water after catching a cold. Drinking hot water can relieve nasal congestion caused by a cold. We can pour a cup of hot water and put it under the nose, use the hot air to fumigate the nose, and the hot air will moisten the nasal cavity, which can help relieve the symptoms of nasal congestion.

2. To relieve nasal congestion caused by cold, we can also press the tip of the nose with our fingers. That is, press the tip of the nose hard with your fingers. After a period of time, you will feel that the nose will slowly become unblocked, and the symptoms of nasal congestion will be relieved.

3. In addition to pressing the tip of the nose, we can also use the method of pressing the Ren Zhong point to relieve nasal congestion symptoms. When we have a cold and our nose is congested, we can press the Ren Zhong point down with our fingertips, using a little force. After pressing the Ren Zhong point for a short time, you will soon feel your nose is unblocked.

4. You need to rest when you have a cold, especially when your nose is stuffy. If you stand upright, you will feel your nose is stuffy. When you lie down to rest, the symptoms of nasal congestion will be relieved, and you will feel better after resting for a day or two.

5. Another way to relieve nasal congestion is to block both nostrils with your fingers or pinch your nose, and then use your nose to blow out air. In this way, the nasal cavity will be unblocked due to excessive pressure during the process of blowing out. Then quickly release your fingers, and the nose will be ventilated as soon as the air in it comes out.

6. The last way to ventilate the nose is drug treatment. If the nasal congestion symptoms persist for about two days and there is no relief, you should take medication immediately to avoid rhinitis, which will be more difficult to treat.

7. Clean the nasal cavity: You can use 500-1000ml of warm saline or general warm saline to rinse the nasal cavity and remove pus crusts to facilitate local medication and promote nasal patency.
