Can in vitro fertilization create twins, a male and a female?

Whenever you see other people's families with twins, everyone will look at them with envy. Indeed, most couples hope to have twins, but in real life, the probability of having twins is very low. It is something that can only be encountered by chance. In addition, some couples have difficulty in getting pregnant normally, so they need to choose in vitro fertilization. So, can in vitro fertilization produce twins, a boy and a girl?

Can in vitro fertilization create twins, a male and a female?

The success rate of IVF is very low, only 15-30%. If you can conceive naturally through treatment, it is best not to do IVF. The factors that cause ovulation disorders include: central nervous system anovulation; hypothalamic anovulation; pituitary anovulation; ovarian anovulation; polycystic ovary syndrome; luteinized unruptured follicle syndrome, etc. It is recommended to go to a specialized hospital for further examination, clarify the cause and treat the symptoms to improve the pregnancy rate.

Being a mother is not easy, and it is even more difficult to be a mother who has done in vitro fertilization. The following story is about the difficult experience of doing in vitro fertilization in the United States.

Fortunately, she finally gave birth to twins.

In vitro fertilization is not something you can do whenever you want, whenever you say you want, or just if you have money. For women, in vitro fertilization is an extreme test from physical to mental, from physical strength to endurance, from money to family affection.

She had in vitro fertilization and gave birth to a pair of lovely twins not long ago.

But, those two children were half given by God and half obtained by risking my life and going through several hell gates.

Let me first talk about finding a hospital in China. I have been to major hospitals in Beijing, and there are so many people there. Looking at that scene, I think the situation will be the same here. Fortunately, my husband and I have saved some money in the past few years, so we are thinking of finding a better environment to do in vitro fertilization.

After searching online, I found a service agency called Chaonei.com. I think this is a conscientious agency. At least they didn't deceive me by telling me how much money it would cost or that it would guarantee pregnancy. Instead, they did a comprehensive analysis based on my situation. First, they seem very professional and enthusiastic. Second, they are efficient. I quickly communicated with the doctor in the United States and developed an ovulation plan, as well as a series of important things over there.

The following is my true experience of doing in vitro fertilization in the United States, preparing to conceive twins at an advanced age, from the bitterness at the beginning to the joy at the end.

First step: ovulation induction

In theory, doctors can create a child by simply bringing an egg and a sperm together. However, in order to increase the success rate, to obtain more eggs, and to accurately grasp the time of ovulation, women must first be given ovulation-stimulating injections to mobilize all the follicles that can be mobilized in the ovaries.

Under natural conditions, women only ovulate one egg per menstrual cycle. If, after the injection of ovulation-stimulating drugs, a dozen or even dozens of follicles are mobilized at the same time, the body may not be able to cope with it.

It is the ovarian overstimulation that occurred after taking the ovulation-stimulating injection. It was not very serious at the beginning and was considered mild. On average, one out of five women doing in vitro fertilization will encounter this situation, and no one cares about it.

But what many people don’t know is that severe ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome is fatal, and the incidence rate is not low, about 1% to 10%, which is no joke.

Some women are still a long way from their dream of becoming a mother because they suffer from ovarian overstimulation. Their entire bodies swell as if inflated, with not only pleural effusion and ascites, but even the pericardium is filled with water.

If the treatment effect is not satisfactory and the disease progresses, even if the baby has been implanted in the uterus and is lucky enough to grow, it will still have to be removed by an abortion, because if the pregnancy is not terminated, the overstimulation will kill the mother first.

Fortunately, I managed to survive the ovarian hyperstimulation.
