If the overeating is serious, you need to take measures, otherwise it will cause problems. Try not to overeat as it can easily damage your stomach and body.

What to do if you feel bloating?

1. Taking a bath will make the body consume energy and speed up digestion. Therefore, after eating too much, you can take a bath so that you won’t feel so uncomfortable. If your body can bear it and you are used to taking cold showers, you can take a cold shower. Swimming is also fine, but don't exercise too vigorously. Take a slightly longer bath than usual and sit quietly or take a slow walk afterwards.

2 Drinking a lot of beer, cola, carbonated drinks and other gas-filled beverages while dining often leads to fullness and discomfort, especially for those with abnormal gastrointestinal function. In this case, urination and sweating are often more likely to relieve fullness. To eliminate sweat, you can turn on the air conditioner and wait for the indoor temperature to rise. After you sweat a lot, you can take a shower.

3 Although exercise helps digestion, you should never exercise on a full stomach after eating, especially do not do strenuous exercise, otherwise it will easily damage your stomach and intestines. To relieve fullness through exercise, do it at least 1 hour after a meal.

4 Drinking water can promote digestion, so many people often drink water to relieve the bloating after eating too much. However, this method should not be used indiscriminately. You should know that drinking too much water can make you feel bloated. On the other hand, if you eat a large amount of dry and compressed food and then drink a lot of water, it will easily cause the food to swell in the digestive tract, which will be more uncomfortable and may even damage the stomach and intestines.

5 We know that the stomach and intestines need stomach acid to digest food. Therefore, after eating too much, you can drink some acidic beverages such as apple cider vinegar, lime juice, or sour fruit juices such as sour star fruit, sour bayberry, and sour lemon.

6 If your gastrointestinal digestion ability is poor and you feel full for a long time after eating, you can go to the pharmacy to buy some stomach-strengthening and digestion-promoting tablets, or you can buy some digestive fluids to drink. This will more effectively relieve the feeling of fullness.

7 If you are extremely full and your stomach and intestines are bloated and painful, it is best to see a doctor. If you don't seek medical attention, take emetics or laxatives, which are more effective. Please note that if the patients are children or the elderly, due to their weak constitution and poor resistance, they should not use strong laxatives but mild laxatives, otherwise it is easy to seriously damage their vitality.
