What to do if your skin gets sunburned in the summer

Summer is a season that people both love and fear. What people love is that they can eat all kinds of chilled foods in summer, but what people fear is that the sun is too strong. If you need to stay in the sun for a long time without taking good care of your skin before going out, you will basically get sunburned. If your skin turns red, it means you are close to getting sunburned. So once you get sunburned, everyone must pay attention. So what should you do if your skin gets sunburned in the summer?

1. Cold compress relief

The first thing to do for sunburned skin in the summer is to calm and soothe it. The emergency method is to apply cold water or a towel refrigerated in the refrigerator to the face. This can quickly relieve the pain and burning sensation of sunburned skin and help the skin "cool down".

2. Aloe vera gel facial mask

Aloe vera gel contains aloe vera extract. Applying it to skin that has been sunburned can help reduce redness, soothe the skin and promote local metabolism. Never use freshly squeezed aloe vera juice or fresh aloe vera slices to directly contact sunburned skin to avoid skin irritation.

3. Black tea for relief

When your skin is sunburned, take out three red tea bags from home, brew them with boiling water, dip a towel in the water, and apply it on the sunburned skin. Theobroma acid in black tea can help the skin absorb excess heat from the sun and repair the damage caused by the sun to the skin. But it should be noted here that the towel can only be used for application and not for wiping, and the tea should be replaced immediately after it dries. If the sunburn is severe, you can also apply the tea leaves directly to the sunburned area.

4. Yogurt Relief

Take the yogurt out of the refrigerator, apply it directly on your face, leave it on for ten minutes, and then wash it off with warm water. Yogurt is rich in live probiotics, which can help the skin build a natural barrier, allowing the skin to repair itself and relieve sunburn.

5 Mint Relief

The menthol in mint leaves can soothe sunburned skin, resist bacteria, and reduce inflammation and kill bacteria. Crush mint leaves and apply to sunburned areas, or crush them and soak them in water, then refrigerate and make a spray to calm sunburned skin.

6 Water Mask Relieve

After sun exposure, the skin must be immediately hydrated. Temporarily abandon your whitening products and choose a safe and gentle hydrating mask! It is also a good choice to hydrate the skin after sun exposure, restore the skin's elasticity, and let the skin repair itself.
