How to reduce haze

How to reduce haze

In family life, everyone in Beijing knows that the smog in Beijing is very serious. Every winter, Beijing will live in the shroud of smog. In fact, if you want to reduce the smog, you must first be fully armed when going out, and be careful not to inhale the smog, which is harmful to the body.

How to reduce dust damage in haze days

The nasal cavity is the first line of defense. Air inhaled from the nostrils must pass through the nasal hair. At this time, the dense nose hair acts like a sieve, blocking the larger particles of dust and sand in the air, thus filtering and purifying the air. The dust adhering to the nose hair will combine with the mucus in the nasal cavity to form snot and then be blown out. When the air goes further in, it comes into contact with the mucous membrane. The mucosal cells are all equipped with cilia, which act like thousands of brooms sweeping backwards continuously, thus clearing away the dust. The glands on the mucous membrane can also produce a large amount of secretions, which can stick to dust particles and increase the humidity of the gas.

The throat is the second barrier. The throat is not only a channel for air to flow in and out during breathing, it also regulates the temperature and humidity of the inhaled air and cleans it. The mucous membrane of the throat will adhere to the missed dust particles again. When the number of things increases, it will stimulate the nerves and cause coughing. At this time, the ejected air flow can drive away the dust.

Bronchial filtration and purification. The trachea and bronchi are like the branches of an upside-down tree, gradually becoming thinner from top to bottom and are very dense. The tracheal lining is densely covered with ciliated epithelial cells, where a large number of cilia are moving and mucus is produced. Tiny dust particles and bacteria in the air will be blocked when passing through here.

The alveoli are cleared of dust again. The air that enters the alveoli through the bronchioles contains very few and extremely small dust particles. At this time, the phagocytic action of macrophages is mainly relied upon to remove dust particles and bacteria. After macrophages engulf dust particles or germs, they are either excreted through the mucus and ciliary transport system in the trachea or processed through the lymphatic system.

"These parts of the human body can indeed play a role in cleaning and dust removal, so people must learn to protect them so as not to affect their purification function." Professor Liu said that first of all, you cannot smoke, because the toxic substances in tobacco will reduce the dust removal and purification function and cause it to become diseased. Secondly, when the dust particles in the air are too large, you should wear a mask to reduce the harm of dust to the human body. Finally, do not pick your nose or pull out your nose hair casually. If you have rhinitis, pharyngitis, acute or chronic tracheitis, etc., seek timely treatment.
