I didn't have bad breath before, but now I have it

In fact, bad breath has many causes. Some people have bad breath because they do not pay attention to their oral hygiene in daily life and do not brush their teeth and rinse their mouths frequently. Some people have bad breath because of some stomach diseases and excessive gastric secretion. Some people have bad breath because of rhinitis. This will cause bad breath that did not exist before.

There are several specific ways to eliminate bad breath:

1. Find out the cause and treat it symptomatically: First, you should go to the hospital's stomatology department to check whether you have oral diseases. At the same time, you can ask an internist to do a comprehensive physical examination, focusing on ruling out certain systemic chronic diseases related to bad breath.

2. Keep your oral cavity clean by brushing your teeth every morning and evening and rinsing your mouth after meals

3. Regular teeth cleaning to eliminate bad breath: Teeth cleaning can eliminate dental plaque, soft plaque and tartar, which is beneficial for improving bad breath and preventing periodontal disease.

4. Chinese medicine and diet therapy to eliminate bad breath: Anyone with gastrointestinal indigestion, mental fatigue, or heat in the lungs and large intestine may have bad breath. The principle of treatment is to clear the heat from the lungs and stomach and moisten the dryness of the intestines.

It is mostly caused by evil fire and heat invading the stomach. In addition to bad breath, the symptoms are often accompanied by red face and hot body, thirst for cold drinks, or ulcers in the mouth and tongue, or swollen and painful gums, pus and bleeding, etc. The stomach fire should be cleared and drained. It is advisable to use Qingwei Powder (Coptis chinensis, Cimicifuga heracleifolia, Rehmannia glutinosa, Cortex Moutan, Gypsum, and Angelica sinensis) to treat it. For those with constipation, add rhubarb.

There are three common causes of bad breath.

First, oral problems. People with oral diseases such as gingivitis, periodontitis, oral mucositis, tooth decay, and malocclusion are prone to bacteria breeding in their mouths, which can cause bad breath. In this case, they need to have their teeth cleaned and filled, and corrected as needed.

Second, gastrointestinal problems, especially anaerobic bacteria, which decompose to produce sulfide, emit a corrupt smell, and cause bad breath. This requires a visit to the gastroenterology department, and also a check for Helicobacter pylori.

Third, see an otolaryngologist to check if there is inflammation or abnormality in the tonsils and pharynx.
