What are the characteristics of pomegranate

Pomegranate is a very special fruit because its appearance looks very smooth, but when you peel off the pomegranate shell, you will find that it has a lot of flesh, which is densely packed into the pomegranate. Pomegranate itself tastes very good and has high nutritional value, so many people like to eat pomegranate. Today I will introduce to you the characteristics of pomegranate. Friends who don’t know can learn about it together.

(1) Pomegranate has high ornamental value. Spring: The tender branches are sprouting, and the branches are full of bright red, like a group of young girls waving their tender hands, telling people that spring has arrived. In summer, the bright red flowers bloom and sway in the wind, like dancing flames. In autumn, the fruits ripen, and the colorful fruits bend the tops of the pillars, as if fairies are dropping flowers to bless people. Winter: The pomegranate leaves fall, and the dense branches are frozen by frost and snow, turning into individual plants and clusters of ice flowers and sea stone flowers.

(2) Pomegranate flowers are colorful. Pomegranate was introduced from the West and has been cultivated in my country for more than two thousand years. After long-term cultivation and selection, there are now more than 200 varieties with different colors: the "red pomegranate" with fiery red flowers; the "white pomegranate" with white jade-like white; the "agate pomegranate" with red background and yellow and white stripes; the "golden pomegranate" that looks like gold but is not gold; the "pink pomegranate" with gorgeous pink decoration; the "colorful pomegranate" with red flowers and white silk or white flowers and red silk; the "double-layer pomegranate" with large flower heads and deeper red color; and the "four-season pomegranate" (also called rose pomegranate) that blooms all year round and has fiery red flowers. There are also pomegranates with thousands of white petals, thousands of red petals, thousands of yellow petals, thousands of bright red petals, large purple petals, and so on.

(3) Pomegranate fruits come in many varieties. The pomegranate fruit weighs 1 to 2 kilograms each for large ones and less than 10 grams each for small ones. Planting more fruit-bearing trees will bend the trees; planting fewer fruit-bearing trees will require appropriate fruit thinning. There are thick-skinned pomegranates that are hard and firm; there are thin-skinned pomegranates that are thin and crispy; there are triple-white pomegranates with white flowers, white skin and white seeds; there are "rock sugar pomegranates" with pink, smooth and lovely skin, large seeds and small seeds, rich pulp, sweet taste and high sugar content. The fruit is also colorful: red, yellow, green, white, purple, black, and copper; there are also complex colors, and the taste is sweet as honey, sweet and sour, moderately sour, hard to swallow sour, and bitter with sour.

(4) Pomegranate is a symbol of good luck. ① Pomegranates have many seeds, which are stored in chambers, symbolizing prosperity and succession of future generations. ② Pomegranate has long been a traditional gift given to relatives and friends in my country. ③People often use “the pomegranate flowers in May are as red as fire” to describe youthful vigor. ④ Pomegranate has a long lifespan and old plants bear fruit. If managed properly, they can be passed down from generation to generation and last as long as a stone.

(5) Pomegranate has anti-pollution function. It can absorb toxic gases in the air such as sulfur dioxide, chlorine, hydrogen fluoride, ozone, etc. and purify the air.

(6) Pomegranates are used in many ways and are a treasure from head to toe. The fruit can be eaten and used for viewing. The juice can be used to make refreshing drinks and hangover drinks. The dried pomegranate can cure diabetes. The pomegranate seeds can expel roundworms and ticks in children. The peel is a raw material for the printing and dyeing industry and a good anti-inflammatory medicine. The pomegranate flowers can be dried and ground into fine powder and blown into the nose to stop nose bleeding. The sour pomegranate is a good medicine for treating diarrhea, bleeding, prolapse of the anus, redness and swelling, and sores on the feet and legs.
