Inflammatory and atypical hyperplasia of the ileocecal mucosa

Inflammatory and atypical hyperplasia of the ileocecal mucosa

Many people have various intestinal or tissue problems in their lives, but because they are not discovered and treated early, the condition worsens and brings unnecessary trouble and burden to the body. When ileocecal mucosal inflammation occurs, atypical hyperplasia should be considered, and you can go to the hospital for examination and treatment.

Medication

Treatment is surgical resection. Minor salivary gland tumors are removed within normal tissues, and parotid gland tumors can be removed by lobectomy or regional resection as appropriate, preserving the facial nerve.

Diet and health care

1. Eat light food and pay attention to dietary regularity.

2. Eat a reasonable diet according to the doctor's advice.

Preventive Care

There is currently no effective prevention measure for this disease. Paying attention to details in life and early detection and diagnosis are the keys to the prevention and treatment of this disease.

Disease diagnosis

Histopathologically, it needs to be differentiated from basal cell adenoma.

Inspection method

Laboratory tests:

Macroscopically it appears as an encapsulated nodule. The cross section is yellow-brown or brownish-yellow, and sometimes small cystic spaces containing gel-like substances can be seen. Its most notable feature under light microscopy is the uniform appearance of the tumor cells: cubic or columnar, containing eosinophilic cytoplasm. The cell boundaries are generally not very clear, the alkaliphilic nuclei are oval or spindle-shaped, stained evenly, and mitotic phases are rare. The single layer of cell cords are arranged in duct-like structures of varying sizes. It is common to see the two layers of cells arranged parallel to each other to form fairly long tubes with a cavity in the middle. The stroma of tubular adenomas is characterized by sparse fibrous tissue, minimal cellularity, and rich vascularity, with often unpatented blood vessels lined with endothelium (Figure 1). Cystic cavities can be seen, and in the large cavities, cords of epithelial cells can be seen protruding into the cavity in the form of papillary processes. The tumor generally has a fibrous capsule, and multifocal tumor tissue without a capsule can sometimes be seen under a low-power microscope. This situation cannot be considered a malignant manifestation.
