How to wash gold to make it shiny

How to wash gold to make it shiny

Gold is a metal extracted from a natural ore. Because it is very rare, it is relatively precious. Gold is a symbol of wealth, so both men and women like to wear gold jewelry. However, some people find that their gold turns black after wearing it for a long time, and is not as shiny as when they first bought it. So when gold turns black, how should it be cleaned to make it shiny again?

1. Floral water

Toilet water is actually a good thing for cleaning gold. You can use some toilet water to wipe the gold jewelry. Alternatively, add some detergent to warm water, wipe the gold with a fine-bristled toothbrush, soak it for fifteen minutes, and then wipe it carefully with a soft cloth.

2. Gold cleaning agent

If there is a black silver film on the surface of the gold jewelry, you can use 2 grams of table salt, 7 grams of baking soda, 8 grams of bleaching powder, and 60 milliliters of water to prepare a "gold cleaner". Put the gold jewelry in a bowl and pour in the cleaner. After 2 hours, take out the gold jewelry, rinse it with clean water (preferably not hard water), bury it in sawdust to dry, and then wipe it clean with a soft cloth.

3. Salt and vinegar

You can also mix salt and vinegar into a cleaning solution and use it to wipe your jewelry to restore its shine. If it is a stubborn stain, you can soak the jewelry in water for about ten to thirty minutes, and then gently brush it with a soft brush.

4. Toothpaste

Toothpaste can make our teeth white and make gold jewelry sparkle like new. Toothpaste can remove dirt on the surface of gold jewelry. But this method is not very good, because toothpaste contains abrasive particles. If you frequently use toothpaste to clean gold jewelry, it will reduce the weight of the gold jewelry and cause unnecessary losses.

5. Ammonia

Ammonia is very effective in cleaning the surface of gold. The method of using ammonia to clean gold is also very simple. First, take a bottle and add pure water into it, then drop a few drops of ammonia into it, and finally put in the gold jewelry. After shaking it vigorously a few times, take out the gold jewelry and wipe it dry with a soft cloth. Using this method to clean gold jewelry will make the gold very bright.

6. Ice and sour

First take 1000 ml of warm boiled water, then add 200 ml of glacial acetic acid to make an aqueous solution, then soak the gold jewelry in the aqueous solution for 10 minutes, then gently scrub it with a soft brush dipped in hot water, and finally rinse it with clean water. It is best to use a cotton ball dipped in soapy water and anhydrous alcohol to scrub. The gold jewelry cleaned in this way will become extremely gorgeous.
