2. Remove the limiting device at the position of the wrench of the pressure relief valve, and connect a plastic pipe to the pipe mouth of the pressure relief port to draw out the sewage in the tank. The pressure relief valve wrench is turned 90 degrees from the vertical position, and the pressure relief valve is opened;

3. Remove the metal hose joint at the hot water pipe. At this time, water will slowly flow out of the pressure relief valve, and the inner tank water discharge process begins. Generally, about 40L of water can be discharged per hour. The specific discharge time depends on the actual situation of your water heater.

4. Connect the hose of the cold water pipe to the hot water outlet of the water heater, open the cold water angle valve, let the cold water enter the inner tank from the hot water pipe to start flushing. At this time, sewage still flows out of the outlet of the pressure relief valve. Flush repeatedly until the water becomes completely clean;

5. Restore the pressure relief valve to its original position, connect the cold water pipe to the cold water angle valve, and connect the hot water pipe to the hot water angle valve;

6. Open the cold water angle valve and the hot water angle valve, open the hot water pipe faucet connected to the hot water angle valve (the hot water faucet in the bathroom, the hot water faucet in the washbasin), and then close it after hot water flows out. Make sure that the air in the water heater tank has been exhausted and it is filled with water.

The above cleaning method does not require the water heater to be disassembled, and is suitable for users to operate at home, but the magnesium rod and heating tube are not cleaned.
