How to make soy milk in a rice cooker

Many people understand that soy milk is made with a soy milk machine. In fact, in addition to soy milk machines, there are many other utensils in daily life that can also be used to make soy milk. For example, the common electric rice cooker at home can also make soy milk. The soy milk made in the rice cooker is different from that made by the soy milk machine. Although it is more troublesome to make soy milk in the rice cooker, it also has a unique flavor. So how do you make soy milk in a rice cooker?

1. First, soak the black beans in water. Wash the beans first, then add water to cover the beans. Drain the water from beans that have been soaked for more than 4-6 hours, prepare a cloth to filter the bean dregs (a clean laundry bag is also fine), and a pot for soy milk. Start blending the beans with a juicer, using a ratio of beans to water of 1:3, and blend them in batches for about 3 minutes each time. Put the pot with black soy milk into the rice cooker and cook it. Add a cup of water around the rice cooker and leave a gap in the lid to prevent the soy milk from boiling too much and overflowing. The pot will be difficult to wash. The black soy milk must be cooked, otherwise you will feel nauseous and uncomfortable if you drink it too raw, so you can simmer it for a while if the rice cooker jumps. Take out the cooked soy milk and let it cool.

2. Soak the soybeans in water for six hours and they will become very large. After washing the soybeans, add a cup of water and blend them with a juicer or blender. Pour the soybean juice and residue into the pot, then add four cups of water. Put it in the rice cooker to steam (a cup of water in the outer pot is enough). Remember not to cover the rice cooker completely, leave a gap for air to get in (for example, put chopsticks between the lid and the rice cooker) to prevent the soy milk from overflowing.

3. Wash the soybeans and start soaking them for 6 hours in summer and 10 hours in winter. Add 800cc of water to the soybeans and blend them in a blender. Bring the remaining 400cc of water to a boil and add the raw soy milk into the inner pot of the rice cooker. Add 1.5 cups of water to the outer pot and steam until the rice cooker switch automatically pops up! Remember to put two chopsticks between the lid and the pot so that the soy milk does not overflow the entire countertop. Slightly cooled soy milk can be filtered with soy milk cloth.
