What does cold pain in the abdomen mean

The human body is made up of many different parts. Generally speaking, the causes of pain vary depending on the location of the pain. In this case, it is important to clearly identify the location of the pain so that targeted treatment can be provided. The abdomen is also a part of the body. Chinese and Western medicine have different views on pain in this area. So what does cold pain in the abdomen mean?

1. The abdomen is mainly used to diagnose diseases of the liver, spleen, large and small intestines, bladder, uterus and their accessory tissues. The general rule is: those whose skin is cool when pressed on the abdomen but prefer warmth mostly have cold syndrome; those whose skin is hot when pressed on the abdomen but prefer coolness mostly have heat syndrome; those who like to press when they have abdominal pain mostly have deficiency syndrome; and those who refuse to press when they have abdominal pain mostly have excess syndrome. Abdominal distension can be divided into deficiency and excess. If it feels full, elastic and tender when pressed, it is mostly excess distension; if it feels soft, inelastic and without tenderness when pressed, it is mostly deficiency distension. When the abdomen swells like a drum, it is called ascites. The main way to differentiate between dropsy and gas distension is through palpation.

2. In addition, when you have diarrhea, intestinal motility increases and there is often bloating in the intestines, which can aggravate diarrhea, so foods that cause bloating must be avoided. Milk will cause bloating in the intestines after consumption, so it is not suitable for consumption. Legumes and bean products, such as soybeans, mung beans, green beans, broad beans, tofu, vermicelli, and bean sprouts. These foods are rich in crude fiber and abundant protein, which can cause increased intestinal motility and lead to bloating, and aggravate diarrhea.

3. According to traditional Chinese medicine, cold pain in the abdomen is mostly caused by cold stagnation of qi or cold and dampness blocking the spleen. The spleen likes dryness and hates dampness, and when the spleen yang is blocked and cannot warm the stomach and intestines, the above symptoms will appear. It is recommended to take Fuzi Lizhong Pills and Buzhong Yiqi Pills for conditioning. The daily diet should be light, avoid spicy and irritating food, avoid greasy food, avoid raw and cold food, exercise more, keep a good mood, and avoid anger.
