I believe that what everyone has seen most often in meditation is monks and nuns, and it may seem very strange to ordinary people to see them meditating, but meditation can help relieve gastrointestinal indigestion, especially in the early morning and before going to bed at night. Meditation right after a meal will cause food to get stuck in the stomach and intestines and be unable to flow, so when choosing the time to meditate, everyone should understand it clearly to avoid affecting gastrointestinal diseases. 1. When to meditate It is not the best time for beginners to meditate immediately after a meal. You can meditate 1.5 to 2 hours after a meal. When you are full, food accumulates in the stomach. If your body is not clear, the quality of your meditation will not be very high. The best time for beginners to meditate is: (1) in the morning after getting up and washing up; (2) before going to bed, which is around 11 o'clock. This way, they don't have to worry about how long after eating they have to wait before they can meditate. 2. Length of Meditation Time Beginners can start with 10 to 15 minutes and gradually increase the meditation time to about one and a half hours to two hours per stick of incense. Meditate at least twice a day, morning and evening. If you meditate when you feel the energy, half an hour of meditation can be equivalent to two hours of sleep. Once you get used to meditation and develop your true energy, if you don’t meditate for a day, you will feel listless and your blood circulation will not flow smoothly. Because every time you meditate, the energy that is developed can open up the meridians one by one. If you don’t meditate for a day, your meridians in the whole body will not be opened and you will feel uncomfortable. When people who are meditating feel tired, they can also close their eyes and relax, using the breathing method of meditation, which can bring a very good rest effect in just ten minutes. 80 minutes. When you stand up, first sit in double-lotus position and then change to single-lotus position. After sitting in double-lotus position for 50 minutes, change to single-lotus position and you can sit for another 30 minutes. The total 80 minutes will be gone quickly. Sit three times and work hard to achieve success. 3. Can I meditate at midnight or noon? There is nothing wrong with meditating at midnight or noon, because practicing Buddhism seeks liberation and freedom. Once you have some understanding of Buddhism and Zen, you will not be bound by the environment and will not worry about when you cannot meditate. Ziwu time refers to 11:00 to 1:00 in the evening. During this time, due to the mutual gravitational force between the earth, the moon and the sun, the magnetic energy and true qi in the atmosphere are the strongest. If you can inhale this air into your body, it can be transformed into internal qi, which helps your physical body to work hard. Therefore, people who have not been exposed to Buddhism generally do not dare to allow too much qi to enter their bodies, but in order to achieve enlightenment, they must have sufficient qi. Therefore, when practicing Buddhism and Zen to achieve liberation, you should not be averse to meditating at midnight or noon, but you must understand the basic principles of Buddhism. |
