Body odor and dark armpits

Body odor and dark armpits

Body odor is a problem that many people have, and it is also something that makes people very embarrassed. Many people with body odor will be very inferior psychologically and even dare not get in close contact with others. In addition to medication, body odor can also be treated with surgery. But some people's armpits become dark after undergoing body odor surgery. So, what is the cause of body odor and dark armpits?

Why do armpits turn black after surgery?

The darkening of the armpits after axillary odor surgery is caused by postoperative pigmentation. It can be treated by taking vitamin E and going to the hospital for laser treatment.

The removal of body odor cannot be limited to superficial prevention. Early detection and early treatment should be carried out to prevent body odor from causing more complications and greater troubles in our lives. In addition to receiving usual treatments to remove body odor, you should pay more attention to daily care, otherwise it will aggravate the body odor and prolong the time it takes to heal. Therefore, daily care cannot be neglected.

Although body odor is not as scary as cancer, it is still quite painful once you have it, especially for women who love beauty. It is even fatal. When facing body odor, we need to calm down, adjust our mindset, and face it with an optimistic attitude.

In fact, for patients with body odor, the most taboo thing is emotional instability. When people are nervous, they will sweat, and this sweating will aggravate body odor. Getting rid of body odor is not something that can be done in a hurry. If you are worried about getting rid of body odor, it is recommended that you adjust your mindset and face it optimistically. I believe that as long as we find the right method, body odor will naturally go away.

2. What are the complications of body odor surgery?

1. Hematoma

Hematoma is a common complication after bromhidrosis surgery. If the hematoma is not treated promptly, it may lead to serious consequences such as flap skin necrosis, incision infection and delayed healing. The main causes of hematoma are: first, incomplete hemostasis during surgery, unreliable electrocoagulation hemostasis, and detachment of ligature hemostatic suture knots; second, poor postoperative negative pressure drainage and unreliable pressure bandage fixation; third, excessive upper limb activity after surgery, loose fit between the skin flap and the wound, and premature removal of the drainage strip.

2. Subcutaneous effusion

Subcutaneous effusion usually occurs several days after the drainage tube is removed. The skin and wound surface are not tightly attached, the upper limbs are moved too much, and subcutaneous fluid continues to seep into the skin to form subcutaneous effusion. There is a sense of fluctuation under the skin when touched. After aspiration, pale yellow serum-like fluid can be seen. The causes of subcutaneous effusion are mostly due to the presence of cavities between the flap and subcutaneous tissue in the early postoperative period, effusion formed by necrosis and liquefaction of residual hair follicles or electrocoagulated sweat glands and fat under the flap, premature removal of the drainage tube, and excessive exudate that cannot be absorbed. To prevent subcutaneous effusion, avoid excessive coagulation of fat tissue by radiofrequency electrocoagulation during surgery, and the subcutaneous tissue should be repeatedly flushed after the surgery. If fluid accumulates under the skin, it can be aspirated with a syringe and then fixed with pressure bandage for a few days to heal.

3. Skin necrosis

Skin necrosis is the most serious complication after bromhidrosis surgery. The main reasons are that the superficial skin is trimmed too thin, the dermis and subdermal vascular network are destroyed, and the postoperative bandage and fixation are improper. In the early stage, pale, dark brown and gray-black spots appear on the skin in the surgical area, and after one week, necrotic skin forms a black hard scab.
