Symptoms of skin cancer cannot be ignored

Skin cancer is a common oncology disease, and the symptoms of skin cancer are diverse, and many people cannot distinguish the symptoms of skin cancer. So, what are the typical symptoms of skin cancer ? Let's take a look at it together!

1. The symptoms of skin cancer are that squamous cell carcinoma is more common in people aged 30 to 50, while basal cell carcinoma is more common in people over 50. The former develops quickly and often grows rapidly in a short period of time; the latter is slow. Squamous cell carcinoma is prone to occur on the lower lip, tongue, nose, vulva, and is often at the junction of the skin and mucous membranes. The ulcer has a high edge, is red and hard, and is ring-shaped and cauliflower-like in appearance. The surrounding inflammatory reaction is significant, and there are often regional lymphadenopathy. Basal cell carcinoma is prone to occur in the eye socket, inner canthus, nose, cheek, forehead, and back of the hand; the ulcer edge is waxy, nodular, and rolled up, and some are black. The inflammatory reaction is mild or absent, and metastasis is very rare. It mainly infiltrates into deep tissues.

2. Squamous cell carcinoma is often transformed from keratosis, leukoplakia and other precancerous diseases. It grows fast and forms ulcers in the early stage. Some are nodular or cauliflower-shaped, with less invasion into the deep part and a movable base; some are butterfly-shaped, with more obvious infiltration into the deep part, great destructiveness, and often involving bones. Squamous cell carcinoma is often accompanied by purulent infection, accompanied by stench and pain. Symptoms of skin cancer are often seen in regional lymph node metastasis. The author encountered a huge squamous cell carcinoma on the head, which had an extremely foul odor, more purulent secretions, and easy bleeding; cervical lymph node metastasis occurred. Squamous cell carcinoma develops fastest at the junction of the mucosa and skin, and patients with mucosal disease are more likely to metastasize.

3. Basal cell carcinoma is often asymptomatic at the onset. In the early stage, it is mostly plaque-like papules with hard bases, some of which are wart-like protrusions, and then break into ulcers. They are irregular, with raised edges, like craters, and uneven bottoms, and grow slowly. Metastasis is very rare. First, translucent nodules with raised edges appear shallowly in ulcers, and then gradually expand, which can erode surrounding tissues and organs and become erosive ulcers. This is one of the symptoms of skin cancer.
