Non-articular rheumatism is a problem that many patients have, and this disease has a relatively large impact on patients. Although this type of rheumatism will not cause joint pain in patients, it will cause patients to experience symptoms such as body pain, sleep disorders, lack of energy, headaches, and numbness around the joints. Here we will introduce to you the symptoms and signs of non-articular rheumatism! 1. Main symptoms Widespread pain and widespread tender points are symptoms common to all patients with fibromyalgia syndrome. The pain is spread all over the body, especially in the axial skeleton (neck, thoracic spine, lower back) and shoulder girdle, pelvic girdle, etc. Other common areas are the knees, hands, elbows, ankles, feet, upper back, mid-back, wrists, buttocks, thighs and calves. Most patients describe the pain as stabbing, excruciating, and excruciating. Patients often report joint pain, but when asked in detail they say that their joints, muscles and even skin hurt. Another symptom common to all patients is widespread point tenderness in tendons, muscles, and other tissues, often in a symmetrical distribution. At the tender points, patients and normal people react differently to "pressing", but there is no difference at other locations. When measured with an analgesic meter, tenderness can be induced at a pressure lower than that of a normal person. 2. Characteristic symptoms This group of symptoms includes sleep disturbances, fatigue, and morning stiffness. About 90% of patients have sleep disorders, manifested as insomnia, easy awakening, frequent dreams, and lack of energy. 50% to 90% of patients experience fatigue, and about half of them have severe fatigue symptoms. Morning stiffness occurs in 76% to 91% of patients, and its severity is related to sleep and disease activity. 3. Common symptoms The most common symptoms in this group are numbness and swelling. Patients often complain of swelling in and around joints, but no objective signs. The next most common complaints are headache and irritable bowel syndrome. Headaches can be classified as migraine or non-migraine headaches, the latter of which is a dull, compressive pain in the occipital area or throughout the head. Psychological disorders including depression and anxiety are also common. In addition, patients' ability to work declines, with about one-third of them needing to change their jobs, and a small number unable to carry out their daily work. The above symptoms are often aggravated by cold and damp weather, mental stress and excessive fatigue. 4. Mixed symptoms Primary fibromyalgia syndrome is rare. Most people with fibromyalgia syndrome also suffer from some rheumatic disease. At this time, the clinical symptoms are the interweaving and overlap of the two symptoms. |
