Diet adjustment is needed after uterine cancer surgery

Surgery is one of the main treatments for uterine cancer. As long as the body allows, it is generally recommended that patients with uterine cancer undergo surgical resection. After an operation, the physical and mental trauma of female friends is very great. The mental trauma can be relieved by timely psychological counseling. So in terms of diet, what do patients need to supplement after surgery?

1. Supplement B-carotene

B-carotene is converted into vitamin A in the body, which helps protect the immune system from attacks by free radical molecules and has a significant immune-enhancing effect. According to scientists' observations, the blood levels of B-carotene in patients with uterine cancer are lower than those in the control group, and low B-carotene intake is a risk factor for uterine cancer. Animal foods that contain a lot of vitamin A include animal liver and eggs. Plant foods rich in B-carotene include spinach, rapeseed, amaranth, lettuce leaves, and pumpkin.

2. Vitamin C supplement

Vitamin C has more than a dozen immune-enhancing effects, including the production of antibodies and the acceleration of immune cell maturation. In addition, vitamin C is also related to the incidence of uterine cancer. Relevant data surveys show that when vitamin C intake increases, the risk of uterine cancer decreases. Vegetables rich in vitamin C are: cauliflower, white radish, potato, Chinese cabbage, rapeseed and other green vegetables.

3. Eat more soybeans and their products

It can supplement phytoestrogens. The isoflavones and lignin contained in phytoestrogens are considered by scientists to have antioxidant effects. Phytoestrogens can inhibit the growth of uterine adenocarcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma, inhibit cell division, and effectively prevent cancer cells from invading or metastasizing.
