8 major danger signs of brain cancer

8 major danger signs of brain cancer

Brain cancer refers to a malignant tumor that occurs inside the skull. In its early stages, brain cancer will show a series of symptoms. Early detection and diagnosis of brain cancer are of great significance and should be given high attention.

1. Morning headache

Headaches often occur at four or five in the morning, and the patient is often woken by the pain from a deep sleep. The headache gradually subsides and disappears after the patient gets up and moves around.

2. Increased intracranial pressure

The tumor's space-occupying compression causes venous and cerebrospinal circulation disorders, as well as edema of the affected brain tissue, which gradually increases intracranial pressure.

3. Projectile vomiting

The vomiting of brain cancer patients is not accompanied by epigastric distension, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea. The vomiting has nothing to do with eating. Instead, it is a sudden "projectile vomiting" after a headache, and the vomitus can often be sprayed 0.5 to 1 meter away.

4. Visual impairment

Poor ophthalmic venous return leads to congestion and edema, which can damage the visual cells on the retina at the fundus and cause vision loss.

5. Monocular bulging

That is, one eyeball protrudes forward, and in severe cases, the eyelid does not close completely.

6. Phantom Smell

Patients often smell odors that do not actually exist, such as burning rubber, burnt rice, or fragrance.

7. Decreased sensation

It manifests as decreased sensation of pain, heat, cold, touch, vibration, and shape discrimination on one side of the body.

8. Unilateral deafness

Excluding medical histories such as otitis media and trauma, progressive unilateral hearing loss often indicates that cancer compresses the auditory nerve.
