Pay attention to the early manifestations of ovarian cancer

The ovaries are located deep in the pelvic cavity. In the early stages of the disease, there may be no symptoms or milder symptoms. Female friends should have a deeper understanding of the possible symptoms of ovarian cancer. Discovering clues in the early stages of the disease plays a very critical role in treatment.

1. Menstrual changes: As the tumor grows, cancer cells will destroy the normal ovarian tissue, affect the normal function of the ovaries, lead to ovarian dysfunction, cause oligomenorrhea or amenorrhea, and some ovarian cancer patients have basically no changes in menstruation.

2. Vulvar edema: Vulvar edema occurs mainly because the tumor compresses the pelvic veins, resulting in poor blood flow and obstruction of lymphatic return.

3. Gastrointestinal symptoms: Ovarian tumors can compress and stretch the surrounding ligaments, and combined with ascites stimulation, gastrointestinal symptoms often occur. For menopausal women, if they often feel bloating and loss of appetite, but no gastrointestinal diseases are found after examination, they should seek medical attention in time.

4. Lower back and abdominal pain: If the tissues adjacent to the ovaries are infiltrated by cancer or adhesions occur, it can easily cause dull pain in the lower back and abdomen.

5. Sex hormone disorder: When ovarian tumors secrete too much estrogen, it can cause precocious puberty, menstrual disorders or postmenopausal vaginal bleeding; if it is testicular prostate cancer, it will produce too much androgen and show signs of masculinization.

For ovarian cancer patients whose main complaints are abdominal distension and constipation, it is often easy to misdiagnose or miss the diagnosis in the early stages. If the above symptoms exist at the same time, the possibility of ovarian cancer should be considered, and you need to go to the hospital in time for further examinations such as ultrasound or CT to find out the cause.
