What are the symptoms of uterine cancer

Uterine cancer is one of the most common gynecological malignancies. There are about 459,000 new cases of uterine cancer each year in the world, and China accounts for about 1/3 of the total number of new cases. Popularizing knowledge about uterine cancer is one of the most effective ways to prevent it. What are the common symptoms of uterine cancer?

1. Vaginal bleeding. Irregular vaginal bleeding, usually a small or moderate amount of bleeding. Because patients are young or near menopause, they may mistakenly think that it is caused by irregular menstruation and often neglect to seek medical treatment. Postmenopausal patients often present with continuous or intermittent vaginal bleeding. Late bleeding may be mixed with rotten meat-like tissue.

2. Paroxysmal pain. The tumor and its bleeding and the accumulation of fluids stimulate the irregular contraction of the uterus, causing paroxysmal pain, accounting for about 10% to 46%. If the tumor tissue penetrates the serosa or erodes the connective tissue around the uterus, the bladder, or compresses other tissues, it can also cause pain, which is often stubborn and progressively aggravated; and it often radiates from the lumbosacral region and lower abdomen to the thighs and knees.

3. Abnormal vaginal discharge. Since the tumor grows in the uterus, there may be a small amount of bloody vaginal discharge in the early stage. In the later stage, infection and necrosis may occur, and a large amount of foul-smelling pus and blood-like fluid may be discharged. Sometimes the discharge may contain small fragments of cancerous tissue. If pus accumulates in the cervical cavity, causing fever, abdominal pain, and leukocytosis, it generally deteriorates rapidly.
