How can liver cancer patients exercise to benefit their health

The diagnosis and treatment of liver cancer is important, and rehabilitation exercises after diagnosis and treatment are also very meaningful. Chinese medicine believes that "standing for a long time will hurt bones, and walking for a long time will hurt tendons." And "the kidney governs bones, and the liver governs tendons." Therefore, fatigue will hurt the liver. Slow walking and strolling are appropriate for exercise. Going to the park in the morning and evening to practice Tai Chi and Qigong can regulate the body and help recovery. Go to public places where people gather less often to avoid catching colds and other epidemic or infectious diseases. Therefore, during the rehabilitation period of liver cancer, if patients want to exercise, they must choose exercises that are suitable for them, and must not do some strenuous exercises to avoid harming themselves. Some slower aerobic exercises should be chosen, and these exercises can protect the body.

Liver cancer patients need to pay special attention to the following exercise points during rehabilitation exercise:

1. Gradually increase the amount of exercise. At the beginning of exercise, the amount of exercise should be small. As the patient's body function improves, the amount of exercise can be gradually increased. After reaching the required intensity, maintain this level of exercise. Avoid sudden and unlimited increase in the amount of exercise to avoid side effects. Especially for patients with liver cancer who have been bedridden for a long time, it usually takes a considerable period of time to resume their original physical activities.

2. Liver cancer patients should pay attention to comprehensive exercise. Generally, whole body exercise is the main method. For patients with partial amputation or cerebrovascular disease, corresponding local exercise and functional training should also be combined.

3. Perseverance and long-term persistence. Only by long-term persistence can you achieve the expected results. Especially when doing Qigong, Tai Chi and other exercises, perseverance can achieve the desired effect.

4. When formulating an exercise therapy plan, special attention should be paid to the different types of liver cancer patients, and the consequences of the disease and treatment should be fully considered and treated differently. Patients with early or mid-stage liver cancer can do some activities after the first treatment, when their condition has stabilized, their diet has returned to normal, and their physical strength has greatly increased.
